Whimsical cake made for my smarty pants daughter. So proud of her ❤️

I won’t lie I am not happy with this cake.🎂
However this was the 4th change of design on it and I think I will have to remake it another day. Normally when I get to have creative freedom I end up with my best work but this time I just think I had too many ideas at once and they just clashed. I know I can make this better. I’ve already apologised🤦🏽‍♀️
I only posted it to celebrate my daughter. I would not be giving this to a customer.😵‍💫

This is a pandan cake with whipped cream frosting as requested by her.🍰
She got the pandan bug on our holiday this year and has been missing it since we got back
Gymnastics figures because she has spent most of her life upside down and doing gymnastics. 😂

My most recent fondant topped square cake reminded me of my first fondant topped square cake.❤️🍰

I loved being asked to make both, loved them both but also aware of how far I have come in my cake making journey. 🎂🤩

Although I had been making cakes for as long as I can remember, decorating was not my expertise when I first started my business. 🍰

I remember stressing over the Reading Amateur Regatta cake so much when I made it then. Although it was a simple design on the outside, this meant there was no where to hide. (The inside was chequered blue and white to represent the race starting flag.) Comparatively I was pretty relaxed making this Caversham Bridge cake even in this hot weather.😍 Both times i was told how good they tasted and that has always been my main goal.🥰

My cake celebrating 100 years of Caversham bridge.
I go over this beautiful bridge most days living in Caversham and so was so pleased to be asked to make it.😍🎂

This cake was delayed due to the hot weather a couple of weeks ago. It was a hot day again yesterday and so all measures were taken to keep the cake suitable.🍰❤️

The frosting was white chocolate ganache which along with being delicious is also the most stable. This was then covered in sugar paste and decorated with royal icing (upside down ruffles and a blue ribbon to create a bridge and river effect) to weatherproof it as much as possible. It was then kept in a cool place until the special cutting ceremony at Caversham Court gardens. Cut by the Reading Mayor along with the local Reading MP and the chair of CADRA.😊🎂🍰

This is my go to when we have ripe bananas in the house.🥰

Originally adapted from a banana cake recipe given to me from a Czech freind (her mums recipe).

They are regularly asked for and constantly loved.❤️

Do you have a banana cake go to recipe for when ever you have ripe bananas in the house? Or do you chuck them like most people.😂

I know this voice over is cringe even before my son told me😂

A single egg white 🐣, a couple of ripe
bananas 🍌 , or even some leftover mascarpone. Anyexcuse to bake something. 😂🍰❤️
Anyone else do this?🧐or do you just add the egg white to your omelette mixture like normal people? 😂
