Dress to Impress at our Squash & Pumpkin Festival on Sunday!

What makes our event beautiful is the bright colours of the pumpkins, squashes and people dressing up for the occasion.

We are offering prizes to children who will take part in our Autumnal Dress Parade at 3PM. Not to be missed!

Pop-up Fermentation Workshop at Squash and Pumpkin Festival on Sunday

Sign-up online to get a first-hand crush course into the Do-s and Dont-s of home made fermentation.

All based on our cookcook My Vegan Farm Food by Tamara Schiopu , presented by fermentaiton guru Mark Lewandoski.

You will take home a book, a container full of freshly set veg and an understanding of how to carry on fermenting at home.

Do you like Mac&Cheese? Well, our own local vegan chef Karen is preparing a feast with Pumpkin Mac&Cheese, Coleslaw and salad. And our wonderful friends with Soleluna Pizza will be offering a ”festival special” using Tolhurst Organic peppers, red onions and basil.

Traditional Eastern European stuffed dumplings, featuring squash and mushrooms will be served with roast veg, yoghurt sauce and home-made ferments. All in the making.

And what Pumpkin Festival without our famous Pumpkin Soup?! Served with fresh basil pesto and organic bread rolls from Aston's Bakehouse Yum!

🏃 Everybody is running their own half-marathon today!

🎃 We started yesterday with roasting 12 Buttercup squashes, then this morning with making the dough, resting it, rolling, stretching, cutting, filling, sealing and freezing.

🥟 All in time to be served at our Squash & Pumpkin Festival next Sunday, 1️⃣1️⃣ th October.

🤏 Limited supply, we made about 500, so be early.

We have our local folk band Ramshackle Ceilidh Band Ramshackle Ceilidh Band Riordan folk trip Harlequin of Goring-on-Thames and Andy Raven.

Look where I’ve been today. Busman’s holiday on one of my favourite islands

Iain Tolhurst ‘Tolly’ showing us how it’s done - soil sampling, cover cropping, using woodchip compost. He’s an organic growing genius and we are very grateful for his expert input on our farm.
