Message of positivity here from our Head Grower Maria Jenkins
Being farmers in drought is tough, really tough ! Whether it's us here growing veg, or others with livestock or arable, and the rest. But with a helping hand from some of you here on Hardwick community, Rose, Barney, Sarah, Nat, Jonathan, Rain, Rhiannon, Lisa, Mark and others who offered, we've got our potatoes in ! I feel absurdly lucky to be supported by this community, especially in a difficult year. Together we hauled about 9 tonnes out the ground and into to the shed, and we hope they'll feed us for many months to come.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support farmers however you can. Buying direct from farms is the most powerful tool in the box. We're facing extremes in climate and food security and farmers experience it all first hand , but it's thanks to our customers that we can keep going and look after the land. So thank you Hardwick ! ❤️
