As you may have read After more than 50 years of serving our community, C A Belcher & Son has now entered liquidation.
This is not a message we ever imagined writing.
From our beginnings as a family-run business to becoming a trusted supplier across the Thames Valley, we have been incredibly proud to serve restaurants, schools, hospitals, care homes, caterers and local businesses with fresh produce, dairy and essential goods. Supporting your kitchens and your teams has been an honour.
To our loyal customers — thank you. Thank you for your trust, your conversations, your early morning calls, your last-minute orders, and for choosing to support a local, independent family business. Many of you have been with us for decades, and we will always be grateful for the relationships we’ve built.
To our suppliers and growers — thank you for your partnership, your flexibility, and for standing by us through changing markets and challenging times. Your support and dedication to quality made it possible for us to deliver the service we were known for.
And most importantly, to our incredible staff — past and present — thank you. Your hard work, early starts, long days, and unwavering commitment kept this business moving every single day. You were the heart of C A Belcher & Son. The care you showed to customers and to each other is something we will never forget.
Running a family business for over half a century has been a privilege. This is a very challenging period for our family as the business has always felt like a family member and losing it will it always leave a hole in our hearts. While this chapter closes with sadness, we close it with immense pride in what we built together and deep gratitude for everyone who was part of the journey.
