Free delivery can be arranged for any local orders, just ask. Also ask about our delicious pie & peas for any occasion however big or small,

we can also serve for you if you prefer. We also sell a range of fresh bread and buns, chilled bottled and canned soft drinks, milk, eggs (M, L, XL), seasonal fruit & veg. Orders can be taken over the phone or in the shop. Cash and cards are accepted. Prices are driven by market prices & subject to change but are available from the shop.

Good morning😁😁😁😁
I can’t believe I’m saying this but due to very popular demand we have opened our Christmas order book today!
For all you new customers, you just pop in let us know your required meat, pigs in blankets or Christmas poultry and we’ll give you an order number (please keep it safe😁 it saves a lot of time later) pop a little deposit on and……. That’s it.
Meat collections will begin as early as Monday the 21st of December to beat the last minute rush, all meat will be vacuum packed and the birds will be individually packaged so as long as you have the space you might as well.
Pie collections will begin on the 23rd (we’ve got 3 ovens now so this should speed up the process) and our pies last for 4 days as they are baked fresh on the day.

Tomorrow will mark the one year anniversary when one of the most respected butchers in the area passed into legend.
Even today his presence is felt around the shop as he’s endlessly quoted on a daily basis as we try to show the next generation that vic’s way was the only way 😁
We strive to keep things the way he liked it in the shop and keep his memory alive through pies and the meat quality, unfortunately none of us are green fingered so we’ll have to leave the flowers to his friends and family.
Thank you to all the customers that have continued to support the shop throughout the year and share their stories of Vic.
Rest in peace Vic.

Good morning, well we’re ready for the weekend😁
We’ve got our flavoured sausage fresh out the filler, the very popular Mango lime and coconut, our own recipe Cumberland and of course the original recipe Vic Thomas pork sausage.
Our unbeatable 35 day aged steaks are all trimmed and ready for the grill and the proper Yorkshire pork is in ready to go😁.

Good morning, I know I’ve gone on about this before but THIS is our beef.
Not from a factory or out of a vacuum pack.
It’s specially selected at auction and taken to the abattoir and prepared ready for our shop where we hang it for a minimum of 21 days, bone and trim it ready for our customers.
This is our weekend beef getting b***d today, 35 day aged and guaranteed to be better than anything else around.
The fillet steak in our counter currently on offer at £54pkg is off this very hind, so if you’ve not tried our beef or steak yet, now’s definitely the time👍

Good morning, well the sausage is fresh out the filler, including a returning classic Vics beef sweet chilli sausage, it’s a very mild tomato based sausage that’s been a firm favourite for years. As always the pork pies are fresh out and jellied ready to go and the fillet steak is still on offer for the next few days so if you haven’t got any yet now’s the time, fill the freezer, fridge and grill😂
Unfortunately with the dry summer we’ve had beef will be undoubtedly be going up shortly so your best beating the price increase👍

Good morning 😁
We’ve got a special offer on!
We’ve got some minimum 35 day aged fillet steak at £54 per kg at the moment!
The current supermarket price is £67 per kg.
At our price it works out at £12 for an 8oz fillet.
You would be paying a minimum of £36 for an 8oz fillet in most restaurants, so if you wanted to treat your other half or even yourself these fillet steaks will be just the thing👍

Good morning, I don’t know how many of you follow the news but we’d just like to reassure everyone that our eggs are locally sourced and are very high quality, they aren’t the tiny “cheap” eggs that come from supermarkets and I can confidently say they aren’t part of this salmonella outbreak that’s currently going on from imported eggs.
Our large eggs are £2.05 for half a dozen and at minimum weight of 60g per egg.
So maybe next time you buy the “cheaper” eggs, stick one on the scale and have a look.

Good morning 😎
We’ve sold out of scotch eggs however there is a fresh batch coming just before 12😁
It’s definitely the weather today for gammon and eggs and at under £3.70 for a 12oz steak it’s definitely a cost effective meal.
