Two little sprouting potatoes and look what they produced 🙌

Not exactly a bumper harvest, but I’m pretty happy with that from just two old potatoes! 🥔🤎

Runner beans going wild, cucumbers going HUGE… just another day at Ribble Roots 😂🥒🫛

🥕🌈 RAINBOW CARROT HARVEST! 🌈🥕

A proper family job down at Ribble Roots today! 😂

Five minutes of pulling, digging, arguing over who gets the biggest one… and finding some absolute beauties along the way. 🥕🤣

There’s something pretty satisfying about pulling a carrot out of the ground and actually seeing what you’ve grown.

And the rainbow carrots are looking bloody brilliant! 🌈🥕

Not sure who enjoyed it more… us or the carrots finally getting their freedom. 😂

From seed → soil → family harvest. ❤️

From the garden, the allotment & the hedgerow…

Wild plum jam made from our foraged plums 🍑🫙 and a bowl of pasta packed with onion, chives, rocket, tomatoes & runner beans — all grown at home or on the allotment 🌿🍅

A pretty good reminder that you don’t need much when you’ve got a garden full of good stuff. 💚

🥕 From plot to pot! 🥕

Pulled some Minters rainbow carrots today and they’ve made their way straight into a big batch of homemade carrot soup 🥕🌈🥣

Not a single one went to waste — even the wonky ones got their moment of glory! 😂

A massive thank you to J W Ramsbottom for the topsoil too — clearly it’s doing the business! 👌🌱

Another little bit of Ribble Roots goodness, grown, picked and cooked right here. ❤️

Someone asked for a few greengages…

So obviously I’ve gone and picked 4kg. 😂💚

🎶 I’m on me way… 🎶

The requested ones are sorted, but looks like I might have a few spare. Anyone fancy taking some off my hands before I eat the lot? 😂🌳

Fresh from Ribble Roots 👌

Cucumber thief on duty 🐶🥒
Our Cockerdor is taking quality control very seriously today… meanwhile the greengage/plum trees are absolutely laden and the runner beans are putting on a proper show!
From four-legged helpers to proper harvests — this is what Ribble Roots is all about.

What’s your favourite thing growing in the garden right now?

18/08/2026

🌽 Right… corn pollination time 😂

Not gonna lie, I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing here, but apparently you’re supposed to give it a little shake and hope for the best! 🤣

If this works, I’m a genius. If it doesn’t… we’ll call it an experiment. 🌽😂
