Liskeyborough Alpacas

Liskeyborough Alpacas On 11th October 2020 my lifetime dream was realised, I am now the proud owner of my very own Alpacas.

The alpacas are a tribute to my dad who worked the farm land for many years and I know he would be very proud of this achievement.

At just 37 days old, here is Navan running free in the video — now totally integrated with the herd and absolutely loving life! ❤️

It’s wonderful to see how confident and happy he has become in such a short time. Watching him stretch his legs, make friends, and enjoy every moment is a real joy. 🦙✨

Meet Clementine 🌼🦙

While everyone else was busy grazing, Clementine decided to accessorise. One perfectly placed buttercup later, and she’s serving serious countryside fashion icon vibes.

No effort, no mirror, no worries — just naturally fabulous. 💛

Alpaca Fertiliser really does work!

Alpaca manure is one of the easiest and most garden-friendly animal manures to use for vegetables and flowers. Gardeners often call the pellets “alpaca beans.”

Main benefits for vegetables and flowers

Gentle, low-burn fertilizer

Unlike chicken or fresh horse manure, alpaca manure is relatively low in nitrogen and mild enough that it usually won’t burn plants, even when used fresh around established plants.

It provides:

* Nitrogen (leaf growth)
* Phosphorus (roots, flowers, fruit)
* Potassium (overall plant health)

That makes it useful for:

* Tomatoes
* Courgettes
* Beans
* Lettuce
* Dahlias
* Roses
* Bedding flowers

Improves soil structure

The pellets break down slowly and help:

* Loosen heavy clay soil
* Improve drainage
* Increase moisture retention in sandy soils
* Feed beneficial soil microbes and worms

This is especially useful in raised beds and flower borders.
