Morning FoodFixers 💚

Just a little update on next week — and a big thank you to everyone who has supported us this week. We really do appreciate it 💚

As you know, we were kindly offered a temporary new pitch. However, we don’t want to upset existing businesses or drown out the local residents with our generator 🎧🙈

So, we’ve decided to close on Wednesday 2nd September and reopen on Thursday 3rd September in our usual lay-by position.

The road may well be open again by then 🤞 but if not, we’ll still be there! 😎🚧✅

Woohooo - we have a new home for when the road closes 🎉

So we’ll be open as normal just in a new location - details tomorrow once all finalised, The Food Fix issue is fixed 💚

UPDATE:

James Hutchinson has been in touch with Highways and explained that we are racing on the Tuesday so they have agreed to not start the work until Wednesday 2nd September. The road will therefore be open on Tuesday (they obviously just haven't been able to change the sign)

We will have to have a think about if/when/where we open

……….

So this is epic news (not!) 😳🙈

The road near us is going to be CLOSED for 3 days next week — one of those days is race day, but we’ll let the racecourse sort that one 🐎😂

Presumably they’re going to mend the gaping hole in it 🚧🙄

So, rather than fight with the road closure, we’ve decided to shuffle our opening days around a bit.

We’ll be OPEN:
👉 Friday 4th
👉 Saturday 5th
👉 Sunday 6th September ✅

And CLOSED:
❌ Wednesday 2nd
❌ Thursday 3rd September

Basically, we’re mirroring the road closure and hoping everyone can still find us! 🚧😵‍💫😂

This is what’s keeps us going and we love that our quality food is appreciated 💚

We have temporary lights near us, caused by a drunk driver… or did they have their car stolen? Who knows! 🤷‍♀️😂 Either way, it’s actually making pulling out of the lay-by much easier 🚗👍
