New to the counter this week, just in time for Yorkshire Day; Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco made in Otley, Shepherds Purse Buffalo Blue which just won Best Blue Cheese at the Great Yorkshire Show. Finally, from Suffolk a brand new cheese from the makers of Baron Bigod; Punch. Using the very creamy milk at this time of year. It is a seasonal cheese, so grab it while you can!

On an absolutely stunning day in Nidderdale, The Little Truckle joined other Cheesemongers for a hike and farm visit to learn all about Stonebeck Wensleydale. The attention to detail from the balance of flora in the pastures, to the cows enjoying their favourite stalls in the milking parlour. Each cheese wheel is hand-sewn into its cloth by Sally. It is a delicious seasonal Wensleydale, back in the shop now.

Selected by our Cheesemonger for this weekend, how about a wedge of Cornish Kern, Harrogate Blue, Montagnolo, Baron Bigod and our cheese of the month Wookey Hole Cheddar? This little lot adds up to 640g, that’s good for 6 to 8 people. Just over £17, or £20 with the basket. 🧀
