Hi All, many of you know the long awaited safety works on Longdon-Upon-Tern bridge are now commencing for a period of 10 week.

We will be open as usual with an added perk 🙂
As the weather is so lovely and it's light until late; during the weekdays and Saturdays we are extending our opening times to 6pm to counter for any potential delays that might be caused.

There are diversions in place to allow you to find us, but please feel free to contact us or drop us a message if you need any assistance getting here.

Fun Fact:
Did you know Longdon-on-Tern Bridge is Grade II listed monument?

It's that time of year when we call-out for harvest volunteers 🍇

Our harvest only happens once a year and it looks like it'll be another early one if this lovely weather keeps going ☀ - likely start, end of August or beginning of September.

A cat, rabbit and European polecats walk onto a field - it sounds like the start of a bad joke but is exactly what happened last night!

During our perimeter walk we were lucky to get close enough and see ferret type bodies, dark fur and bandit eyes! We believe they were European polecats (Mustela putorius) running in and out of the rabbit burrows.
The rabbit was watching them from a safe distance and Nero was watching them all closely!

They all scrammed when the cat started to investigate and needless to say, we got our little alpha out of there pretty sharpish.

We'd like to start capturing the wildlife around here and sharing with you all, especially now the weather seems to be bringing out animals we may not normally see.

Would anyone have recommendations for a nature friendly camera? Something that is discreet and won't cause any interference to the wildlife? Or, if we can be pointed in the right direction for advice that would great.
