EC Drummond (Agriculture) Ltd are looking for 2 additional people to join the small friendly team in Hampshire, working on a 4,000 acre arable operation.
Good rates of pay and temporary accommodation provided based near Basingstoke.
Both positions will involve driving Fendt 724 tractors. The roles will include grain store preparation, grain carting, bale carting & stacking, topping, light cultivations and rolling.

EC Drummond Group is a diverse and expanding family-run agricultural business specialising in soft fruit, top fruit, arable and broiler chicken production. Based on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, we are seeking a dedicated Sprayer Operator / Tractor Driver to join our team at Homme Soft Fruit, a 50ha enterprise producing strawberries under polytunnels.
This is a full-time, permanent role (not seasonal). Living locally is beneficial, and a full driving licence is essential.

Role Overview
You will operate the farm’s air-blast sprayers and tractors throughout the season and support a variety of soft-fruit and top-fruit operations. Some tasks are physically demanding. Typical duties include spraying, mowing, herbicide application, and field infrastructure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate sprayers to apply crop protection products primarily to strawberry crops, with some work on top fruit crops where required.
• Work with a range of specialist sprayers, including:
o 2 × Cima six-row sprayers
o 2 × Munckhof three-row sprayers with tree-by-tree capability
o 3 × single-row air-blast sprayers
• Operate modern Fendt 211F tractors (experience beneficial). The fleet includes five Fendt tractors used for spraying, topping, and harvest tasks.
• Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards and adhere to all industry regulations.
• Carry out routine and preventative machinery maintenance, including the daily care of your sprayer.
• Support general soft-fruit and top-fruit work such as mowing, herbiciding, and infrastructure repairs.
• Work flexibly, including anti-social hours when necessary (weather and cropping conditions dependent).
• Undertake relevant training as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential

EC Drummond is seeking to recruit a Packhouse Manager to lead a multinational team in our fruit packhouse, overseeing daily operations for intake, assembly, and distribution to various parts of the country in accordance with customer orders.

Based near Ross-on-Wye, the role requires leading a seasonal team and overseeing all packhouse assembly and logistical planning.

Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer specifications are met and deliveries are made within the established timeframe.

This is a fast-paced position in a seasonal supply business with operations from April to October, and a flexible approach to other work outside of the packing season.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of key responsibilities:

Operations Management: Organising the day-to-day running of the Packhouse, ensuring the process runs smoothly, and orders are fulfilled. Review the process and focus on continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.

Compliance: Understanding of UK Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations, as well as enforcing these regulations within the supervised area. Ensuring all fruit meets BRCGS specifications and overseeing record keeping within the area of responsibility.

Planning and Coordination: Work daily with harvest management and other team members to manage orders, assemble finished goods, manage stock control, provide quality feedback, and coordinate haulage to multiple customers. Stock management of dry goods to ensure minimal supply disruptions.

Team Leadership: Train and motivate a team of multinational seasonal staff to focus on achieving customer quality specifications and an overall culture of Safe Food and Safe Workplace.

T&Cs

Working flexibility allowed, however, weekend days will be included in the rota during the packing season.

We are looking to recruit a Sprayer Operator/ Tractor Driver to join our existing team. Tillington Top Fruit is 150ha of orchards based across several sites with the main farm being at Tillington, Herefordshire. The farm grows dessert apples, cider apples and cherries.

Living in the local area is beneficial and you must have a full driving licence.

This is a full-time position, not seasonal.

To operate one of the farms air blast sprayers and tractors throughout the season. The role will not be limited to this, and you will be required to carry out a range of other associated orchard/farm activities, some of which can be physically demanding. Examples of these are mowing, strip straying and orchard infrastructure repairs.

You will report to the Top Fruit Manager and Head of Production.

· An experienced sprayer operator who is responsible for applying crop protection products over the farms range of differing fruit crops.

· Operating one of the farms sprayers which consist of: (2 x state of the art three Row Munckhof Sprayers with tree by tree spraying capabilities and 3 x Single row Air Blast Sprayers).

· Experience with modern Fendt 211F tractors is advantageous. We currently have 5 Fendt’s in the fleet carry out a range of different task from spraying, topping and general harvest duties.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.

· Machinery maintenance on a wide range of fruit machinery and specialist equipment including the daily upkeep of the sprayer you operate.

· Flexible attitude to working week with a willingness to work anti-social working hours if required.

· Relevant training will be provided as and when appropriate.
