💙 More Than Just a Buffet… This Is Our Family Business 💙
When you see one of our finished BODIE’S BAKES grazing tables, you see the beautiful end result — but what you don’t always see are the many, many hours of work that happen behind the scenes.
For a buffet like this one, catering for over 100 people, the preparation starts long before we arrive at the venue.
There are hours spent baking our homemade quiches and cakes, tray after tray of our famous Pork & Tomato Sausage Rolls, and hours preparing and frying our Homemade Luxury Scotch Eggs. 🥧🍰
Then come the fresh sandwiches, cheeses, continental meats, crudités and all those little extras that eventually come together to create one of our fabulous grazing tables.
Everything then has to be carefully packed, transported and unloaded before we begin setting up our boards, baskets, displays and tableware at the venue.
But there’s another side to BODIE’S BAKES that you don’t always see…
Behind the business, we’re a family. 💙
We’re also parents to two young children, so behind those beautiful buffet photographs is a family juggling family life, early mornings, late-night baking and some very long days in the kitchen!
Sometimes the ovens are on when most people are still asleep, and sometimes we’re cleaning down when everyone else has finished for the day. But we genuinely wouldn’t change what we’re building.
Our children are growing up watching their family work hard to build something we’re incredibly proud of — and every booking, recommendation, like, share and returning customer is helping our little family business continue to grow.
So when you book BODIE’S BAKES, you really are supporting a local family. You’re supporting the hours of baking, the early starts, the late finishes and the enormous amount of love and care that goes into every single buffet.
And when we finally stand back and look at a grazing table catering for 100+ guests, knowing that so much of what you see has been prepared and made by us, it makes all those hours worthwhile. 💙
