🥃 McCaskie’s Haggis Bon Bons with a fresh salad garnish and rich peppercorn sauce.

🦪 Steamed Scottish mussels in garlic butter, served with warm crusty bread.

🍔 Bute venison burger in a toasted bun with the chef’s homemade pickled cucumber & onions, served with steak-cut chips.

🐑 McCaskie’s award-winning garlic & herb lamb lollipops on a bed of crushed potatoes with homemade ratatouille.

🍅 Homemade vegetable lasagne, served with garlic bread and a fresh salad garnish.

🐟 Pan-fried smoked haddock with lemon butter, crushed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

🥧 And, as always, our chef’s famous chicken & haggis pie, served with creamy mashed potatoes and market vegetables.

Chef’s been busy this morning! We’ve been pickling fresh mini cucumbers and onions, which are now marinating to create the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and crunchy. They’ll be served as the perfect accompaniment to our delicious Bute Venison Burgers, hitting today’s specials board later on. If you’re looking for something a little different, pop in and give them a try before they’re gone! 🍔🥒🧅

We’d also like to address a few comments we’ve seen about our opening hours. As a small, family run business, we completely understand that some people would love us to stay open later. We truly appreciate that so many of you enjoy visiting us. At the moment though, later opening just isn’t possible for us. We’re open 5 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and our small team works incredibly hard to give every customer the best experience we can.

A few things we’d like to share:
