What a night!

We watched Scotland win their opening World Cup match - their first World Cup victory in 36 years - and the atmosphere at Bute Yard was nothing short of incredible.

From the first whistle to the early hours of the morning, the singing, cheering and celebrations didn’t stop. If there’s one thing we know how to do, it’s throw a party!

A truly proud day to be Scottish. 🙌

We’ll be showing Scotland’s next two World Cup matches, so keep an eye on Bute Yard’s social channels for ticket releases.

Tickets for Scotland vs Morocco (Friday 19th June) will go live tomorrow morning at 9am (Monday 15th June). Be quick - our last event sold out in just 9 hours!

Three years at Bute Yard. Six years since distilling on Island.

This weekend we’re celebrating our 3rd birthday at Bute Yard 🎉

It’s hard to believe that six years ago we were pouring some of our very first cocktails in our little Gin Garden on Bute. We had space for around 20 people, a lot of hope, and somehow made it through COVID with more hand sanitiser than gin at times.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.

Meet the Team - Henry! 👋🏽

Say hello to Henry, our newest team member, who’s joined us in Sales & Brand Development.

Originally from Warwickshire, Henry made the move north to Scotland with his wife, spending the last 10 years in Edinburgh building an impressive knowledge of the drinks industry along the way.

But it only took one visit to Bute for them to fall in love with island life and make the move permanent.

Fun fact: Henry is has a real passion for fishing and he once caught fish in the River Nile in Egypt 🇪🇬

You’ll usually find Henry behind the bar at weekends, so be sure to stop by and say hello! 🍻

The history of Heather and why we use it 🌸

Heather is a profound symbol of Scotland, with a history spanning over 4,000 years. It has been used for centuries for bedding, thatching, dyeing, and in brewing and distilling.

While its rare white form is traditionally considered a lucky charm. Native to the Scottish Highlands, it represents resilience and is heavily deeply rooted in Celtic folklore and clan tradition.

We are luckily surrounded by fresh heather on the Isle of Bute, that our girls handpick to add to your distillation, creating a floral, citrus and earthy pink gin.

Today we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible Distillery & Brewery Manager, who has been at the heart of everything we do for the past 6 years.

Kind, caring, and endlessly supportive, she keeps our growing team running smoothly. From day-to-day operations to keeping spirits high (in every sense), she plays a huge role in shaping who we are.

Fun fact - she visited her dad on Bute from Australia during Covid… and hasn’t looked back since 🌍
