🚜13 - 15 Tractor Driving Training ✨🚜

Today we had the pleasure of training a group 13–15 year olds in tractor driving! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️💪 These young learners gained hands-on experience, developing both skill and confidence while practicing safe driving techniques.
From learning controls to maneuvering in the field, hitching and reversing. We’re proud to see the next generation stepping up and embracing farm safety and machinery skills.

🚜 It’s a mixed bag of training today at Rowdefield Training & Education! 🌲There’s always something happening at the centre — from professional land-based qualifications to hands-on driving experiences and practical agricultural training.

We’ve got candidates completing Day 2 of our 0039-20 – City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting course, while other customers are here enjoying our legendary Tractor Driving Experiences! 👏

This afternoon is all about preparing candidates for their Tractor Driving Test. One of our candidates has her on road test booked for next week. Our half-day Tractor Test Course covers everything you need to build confidence and get test ready:

✅ Tractor safety checks
✅ Driving techniques & observations
✅ Junctions, road signs & hazards
✅ Reversing, parking & emergency stop
✅ Expert instruction in a safe farm environment

We’re pleased to introduce our Service Technician of Tomorrow Summer Internship, designed to help develop the next generation of skilled engineers here at Hunt Forest Group.

This six‑week paid placement, running from 20th July to 28th August, gives students the opportunity to gain hands‑on workshop experience, working alongside our experienced Service Technicians on modern agricultural and turf machinery.

Ideal for those studying Level 2 or Level 3 Land Based Engineering or Vehicle Maintenance, it’s a great way to build real‑world skills, gain confidence, and take the next step towards a career in the industry.

Got a young farming enthusiast ready to get behind the wheel? Our hands-on tractor driving course is the perfect way to build confidence, skills, and safety awareness in a fun, supportive environment.
👩‍🌾 Who’s it for?
Young people aged 13–15 – whether they’re complete beginners or already have some tractor experience.
🛠️ What they’ll learn:
✔️ Safe mounting & dismounting
✔️ Understanding controls & instrumentation
✔️ Essential daily safety checks
✔️ Driving forwards & reversing with confidence
✔️ Manoeuvring with mounted & trailed implements

Our experienced instructors guide every step, following official safety guidance to ensure young drivers learn the right way from day one.
🌱 Hands-on & engaging
Minimal classroom time, maximum practical experience! Start on a simple tractor and progress as skills improve.
This course does not carry an accredited qualification but candidates will receive a certificate of attendance and course notes to take home.
⚠️ Please note: Training follows safety guidance for young people, so certain equipment (like PTO-driven machinery) is not included.
