Royston Christmas Market - Saturday 13th December

The annual Christmas Market kicks off this coming Saturday at 7.30am and it will be a pleasure to have our regular traders joined by some of Royston''s finest independent businesses.
Every Christmas our generous traders make up hampers of goods which this year also includes vouchers to be spent at our butchers, fishmongers, bakers and cheese-mongers. These will be entered into a free raffle which will be drawn by Royston's Mayor at midday.
Royston First have once again kindly donated free cupcakes and mulled wine which will be handed out to shoppers entering the raffle. This Royston Town Council pitch will be located in the middle of the market.
Our traders include:
- The Honest Fig who in addition to selling their vast array of quality cheeses will be serving jacket potatoes drizzled with melted cheeses of your choice
- Cambridge Wines - located next to The Honest Fig in the main Market Square. I am sure they can make recommendations for wine pairings for this festive season

Saturday 4th October - Market scaled back due to inclement weather.

With the weather forecast for Saturday suggesting wind speeds in excess of 45 mph, traders will not be permitted to work from gazebos. These are potentially dangerous projectiles under such conditions and the health and safety of both traders and shoppers is of course our main priority.

There are a handful of traders who will still be able to operate from vehicles and trailers and these include:

- Dan , owner of St Ives Wholesale Produce ltd fruit and veg
- Nieve and Aaron of F.E Tucker & Sons fishmongers
- Gary trading on behalf of Mr Sharman's flowers and plants
- Ledi, owner of Unique Bakery.

Weather permitting we will be back to normal trading arrangements on Wednesday.

Thanks for your support.
