🚜 A polite reminder about parking 🚜

Please do not park or pull into our farmyard. This area is disabled parking only.

We’ve had two near misses this week involving animals and children after vehicles have turned into the yard from the road without noticing our car park signs.

We are a working farm, and our yard is a busy place. Tractors need space to move around to feed the animals, cows are regularly being moved through the yard, and our dogs are often loose. We also have our own young children on the farm, as well as visitors’ children.

For everyone’s safety, please follow the signs and use our main car park. It only takes a moment, but it helps us keep everyone – people and animals alike – safe.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation. We really don’t want to see anyone get hurt. ❤️

As the lights went out in homes across Ruan last night, a new little life was just beginning here on the farm. 🌙🤍

Robbie spent the evening helping this british blue calf safely into the world, before he opened his eyes for the very first time.

It’s moments like these that remind us why farming isn’t a 9–5 job. New life doesn’t wait for daylight—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐄❤️

☀️ The sunshine looks like it’s here to stay, and we’re loving seeing so many of you visiting the farm shop! 💚🐄🍦

As we’re getting a little busier, we just wanted to share a few friendly reminders to help everyone have the best visit…

🚗 Please use our dedicated car park across the road and not the farmyard, as we’re a working farm and tractors need access at all times.

🐶 Friendly dogs on leads are always welcome! Just remember our own dogs roam freely as this is their home.

🐮 We’d love to show you our cows and calves – just ask one of us!

🫙 Don’t forget to bring back your glass jars and bottles to claim your deposits back.

Most importantly… take your time, enjoy the fresh air, and treat yourself to some delicious homemade goodness! 🍦🥛

Thank you for supporting our family farm and helping us keep it a safe, friendly and welcoming place for everyone. We can’t wait to see you! 🌾💚

And Katie’s been keeping busy because from tomorrow our famous Rhubarb Crumble Ice Cream 🍨🌸 (as seen on TV! 📺) will be available exclusively in our farm shop.

If you’re out and about tomorrow, come and say hello! 👋 We’ll also be at Helston Farmers’ Market 🛍️ and Truro Farmers’ Market 🌿.

We can’t wait to see you! 💚🐄

We’re excited to share that we’ll be appearing on Cornwall: A Year by the Sea tonight at 8pm on Channel 5. 📺

The programme follows part of our journey here on the farm and gives a glimpse into how the milk from our cows is turned into the products that so many of you enjoy and support us for.

We’re incredibly proud of what we do, and we’re grateful to everyone who chooses to buy local and support Cornish farming. 🐄🥛

If you’re watching tonight, we’d love to hear what you think!

We are sorry that we will not be able to see you at all at Truro Farmers Market tomorrow due to it being cancelled in very windy conditions.

The good news is that all the stock we had prepared for the market is still available, and we will be bringing extra stock to Helston Farmers Market tomorrow, and you can also purchase items at our farm shop in Ruan Minor which is open until 4pm.

Sorry Truro. Due to wind speeds and the weather tomorrow we have made the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s market on 📍 Lemon Quay.

Get in touch with us direct for your favourite traders contact details to discuss order collection. Or find a select few of the TFM family this weekend at show.

Who knew there was a world milk day!
Why not celebrate by popping into our shop and picking yourself up some of our yummy milk, cream, possets, butter or yoghurt to take home?! 🥛 🧈
Don’t forget to grab a quick ice-cream 🍦 as a tasty treat too!

Happy World Milk Day! 🌍🥛🐄

Creamy, refreshing and delicious, milk is so much more than just a drink. It’s the ingredient behind many of the foods we love, from creamy yoghurt and cheese to scrummy ice cream, buttery biscuits and milkshakes 😋

Packed with essential nutrients and high-quality protein, milk helps support:

🦴 Strong bones and teeth
📈 Healthy growth and development
💪 Muscle maintenance and repair
🛡️ Normal immune function

So raise a glass (of milk!) to the goodness of milk and dairy, and to all those who work tirelessly across our industry to bring it to the table! 🥛💙 🐄

We’re really proud to be part of such a lovely local community, and we know how many people enjoy getting out for a walk around the countryside with their dogs. 🌿🐾

We wanted to share a bit of awareness about something that might seem harmless, but can have a serious impact on our farm.

This year, we’ve sadly had a number of cows lose their calves. One of the contributing causes is a parasite called Neospora caninum, which can be spread through dog faeces. Even a quick game of fetch or letting a dog off lead in a field can unknowingly put our livestock at risk.

We completely understand that most people don’t mean any harm—but these small actions can have devastating consequences for animal welfare and for our livelihood.

So just a gentle reminder:
• Please keep dogs on leads at all times when near or in fields with livestock
• Always pick up and properly dispose of dog waste
• Stick to public footpaths where they are marked
• If a gate or field is open, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s okay to enter

We’re not looking to point fingers—just to raise awareness and ask for your help in protecting our animals.

Thank you to everyone who already follows these guidelines and supports local farming 💚
