1st SEPTEMBER…

🍁 AUTUMN CREEPS IN… 🍁

I always like to witness a change of season🍂

AUTUMN being one of my favourite seasons.

I see it as a time to prepare for what’s ahead, a time to look after yourself more & slow down a little.

A time spent getting ready for the winter ahead.

For me, it means lots of hearty home cooked meals. Hotpots & stews cooked on the fireplace, full of fresh veggies and wholesome goodness.

Lighting candles & getting the fire lit late afternoon so it slowly burns all through the night

…bedding down that little bit earlier 🕯️🔥

My plans (outside of work) for a cozy autumn are

- 🍇 MAKING HOMEMADE JAM 🍇
storing it up now, for those crisp mornings when porridge makes a daily comeback 🥣

- A WINTER FLU POTION 🧪 🫚
I’ll be making my homemade flu remedy potion and bottling it up, to fight off cold & flu’s 🤧

-COLLECTING WOOD 🪵
there’s no better feeling than free heating. Burning wood that you’ve chopped yourself feeds the inner cave man. Swinging the axe & chopping up wood with Dolls in tow over a flask of coffee, is one of my favourite autumn jobs🪓 🐶

we lost a POWERHOUSE of a woman..

PRINCESS DIANA 👑

Now I’m not a royalist - but I respected her for her caring ways and the love she showed to people of all backgrounds, from all over the world.

I never forget seeing her hug the HIV patients, when nobody would even go near them.
In an era when such little scientific research was available and fear was everywhere.. .she showed heart 🤗

…seeing people, for people.

The charity work with genuine compassion & so much more

As a kid, I will never forget seeing on tv, those young lads publicly walk behind that coffin -
not cuddled , not held .. that has never left me 🥺

Rest easy Di, you were loved by so many ❤️
