I just wanted to share a little update on Sean’s Fight.
As you know Sean has been doing so well with his Fight against Leukemia. The trial is working and keeping the Cancer at bay.
However, the trial Sean is currently being given isn’t forever. We don’t know when the trial will hinder, or when the Dr’s say to stop, which is something he has to live with, day in day out.
Sean still has weekly visits to the Hospital, it’s terrifying not knowing what they might say. Some weeks we have set backs like when he had Shingles, or when he had Differentiation Syndrome. But most weeks he does get good news.
But this is stress Sean shouldn’t have to live with. And while on the trial, which is just a trial, he will still be having those visits, sometimes those setbacks.
The best chance at curing this awful disease is another Transplant. We had been hopeful Sean was to have another Stem Cell Transplant. But the Dr has now said that all UK Hospitals, both NHS and Private, are not allowing Sean another Transplant.
As you can imagine the stress Sean and his family are going through these past few months is just horrendous.
Our Community, Family and Friends, have just been amazing. And I feel so proud to see this; the way we have all joined together to help Sean. Thank you all so much.
We did go quiet for a bit on the fundraising, because of how well Sean has been doing. But now with the news of no more Transplant we need to get raising the funds again.
We have raised a lot of money, through the GoFundMe and fundraising events. The total figure so far is currently at £54,890, and is absolutely amazing but it’s still not enough. AML is so aggressive and we have to move fast.
Sean has been researching Hospitals abroad where he can get that Transplant he needs.
He has already reached out and is talking to Hospitals in Israel and Texas. And is researching others in Europe. These Hospitals are way ahead of the UK for treatments, and they have more to offer Sean for the long term.
This is where we need your help again please with fundraising. Without you we wouldn’t be able to get him there.
Our next fundraising event is next week. Sean’s brave Wife Bec and her amazing friend Ria are doing a sky dive together. This is taking place on 1st November in The Lake District, in the hope it helps with donations.
We are asking once again please if you can spare anything, please donate to Sean’s Fight. Show your support for Bec and Ria and help Sean get that transplant. Please see the link for their GoFund Me page below ❤️❤️ and please share with everyone you know. Help to spread the word ❤️❤️
