Harvest 2025! We had a fantastic harvest - so full of flavour! Really ripe after such a great summer. Every year has a few curveballs (so MUCH rain in August and SO cold!) and two were self inflicted (who forgot to net the Pinot Noir Précoce? And… who decided to move the winery to the newish building next door?…). See photos for a shot of our new (nearly finished) winery…
But it went so well! Bunches were light due to a cold 2024 so yields not super high but flavours amazing. The famous hint of rose petal in the Pinot shone through and the Chardonnay produced some of its best fruit. Our dream is to go to town with BDB.
And of course the people made it all worthwhile. Friends, customers, trade customers, members, locals, professionals… we picked for ten days with 159 people. My Norwegian aunt did not join this year…
We are now feeling slightly more relaxed, tinkering with the wines, disgorging, starting to ship for the Xmas rush…
