The barn filled up in the best way - noisy, warm, a little bit chaotic.

Not a spare seat going. Children tucked in close for the stories, then straight back up again, weaving between tables, out into the yard, off through the vines with that kind of energy you can’t quite contain.

Milly carried the whole thing so effortlessly - gentle, funny, completely absorbing. You could feel the room settle around her.

A big thank you to Milly, and to Dottie Publishing for bringing something so thoughtful and full of life into the barn.

Pizza coming steady from the oven, colouring spread across the tables, ice cream in hand before the next lap around the vines.

A pretty perfect way to start the Easter holidays.

We’ve been quietly reworking our VIP - very important pooch - stays, and it feels only right to share that we’re now partnering with .

In our dog-friendly rooms, you’ll find their bowls ready and waiting - already in place for hungry arrivals - along with beds to sink into after a long day out.

Mia-Gladys is already tucked in, making short work of her without a second glance up.
