Red Red wine 🍷 from South Africa 🇿🇦 is just what you need for a rainy bank holiday weekend!

🍷 Springfield Estate ‘The Work Of Time’ 2020

Deep and concentrated on the nose, it opens up on the palate to reveal crisp cassis fruit with smoky edges and a hint of green pepper all hung on a ripe firm structure.

Aromatic, medium to full bodied and powerful, with good extraction of the sweet flavours of black ripe fruits. Elegant and textured tannins, giving wine great ageing potential. A touch of mint, with lavender notes. Firm, well balanced oak and long spicy finish.

🍷 Nieuwe Haarlem Pinotage 2023
Medium to full-bodied with vibrant blackberries, cherries and plums wrapped in espresso, mocha and dark chocolate tones. Silky tannins, balanced acidity and a long, smooth, coffee-chocolate finish.

Riedel the wine glass company is one of the oldest glass producers in the world dating back to 1756 and they are still family run to this day. They are the pioneers of the modern wine glass and have developed grape varietal specific stemware. Riedel glassware can truly elevate your wine experience and we would like to demonstrate this:

Join us for an entertaining, sensory and educational evening of fine wine tasted in beautifully and purposefully designed glassware.

Riedel representative Dylan Revie will present the tasting with five styles of fine wine chosen by the team at Cellar Door Wines.

On arrival you will receive a glass of English Sparkling wine in the recently created English Sparkling specialist glass.

We will then taste crisp Sauvignon Blanc, rich Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon in the Riedel Veloce stemware range.

Generous sharing platters of cheese, bread and charcuterie will be served.

Join us for an evening of relaxed creativity and wine tasting with a South African theme. Tom will provide your sketching materials and art expertise, while Penny talks you through 4 unique South African fine wines from her independent wine merchant range.
