Cheers to National Fish & Chips Day!

Tonight’s very important question: what are you drinking with your fish & chips?

A crisp, zesty Sauvignon Blanc.
A mouthwatering, lip-zapping Picpoul de Pinet.
A bone-dry Riesling with that racy acidity.
Or a fresh, dry rosé if you’re feeling breezy.

All excellent choices.

But our personal favourite? Traditional method sparkling — Champagne, Crémant, Cava or English Sparkling Wine (other traditional method bubbles are available, obvs).

The acidity and bubbles cut through the richness of the batter brilliantly — and let’s be honest, salty chips are delicious with everything.

If you’ve never tried it, today is the perfect excuse to give it a go.

What are you drinking with your fish & chips tonight?

Cheers to International Chardonnay Day

If you’re in the Chardon-YAY camp, today is your day. But if you’re firmly team Chardon-NAY, it might just be that you haven’t found the right Chardonnay… yet.

One of the world’s most planted and versatile grape varieties, Chardonnay can range from crisp and citrusy in cool climates, such as Chablis, to ripe and rich in warmer regions like California. It’s also one of the top choices for premium traditional method sparkling wines around the world. There’s a Chardonnay out there for everyone — you just need to find it.

Fun fact: Chardonnay takes its name from the village of Chardonnay in southern Burgundy, France.

Pair lighter styles with seafood and lighter dishes, or fuller-bodied styles with roast chicken and creamy pasta.

Will you be celebrating International Chardonnay Day with a glass today?
