People often ask what goes into a proper Cornish pasty 🥟

The answer is actually quite simple. Beef, potato, swede (or turnip!) and onion, all wrapped up in savoury pastry and hand crimped.

No fancy extras, and contrary to popular belief... no carrots either 🥕❌

It's a recipe that's been part of Cornish heritage for generations, and one we're proud to continue here in St Columb.

Before meal deals… there was the Cornish pasty 🥟

Back in the mining days, pasties were the perfect lunch for workers underground, packed with meat and veg in one, easy to carry and filling enough to keep them going through long shifts.

Not much has changed really… still the best grab-and-go lunch going.

And we’re proud to still be making ours right here in Cornwall today.

A tray of freshly baked Cornish pasties and we will love you forever. That’s it. That’s the whole list.

No flowers, no chocolates, no grand romantic gestures - just a proper Cornish pasty, still warm, and we’re yours. Some people are just built simple and we are completely at peace with that!
