📚 Today marks the publication of Down Burrow Lane, our co-founder Sir Michael Morpurgo's beautiful new memoir. The book tells the story of family, farming, friendship and Farms for City Children.

Michael has often described Farms for City Children as the greatest story he and Clare created together and Down Burrow Lane offers a wonderful opportunity to read that story in full. Our charity sits at the heart of the book, interwoven with Michael and Clare's reflections on family life, farming and the community they built together in Devon.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary year, we’re especially grateful to Clare and Michael for choosing to donate all author royalties from the book to Farms for City Children. Their amazing generosity will help ensure future generations of children can continue to benefit from life-changing experiences on our farms. Thank you 💚

For anyone who has stayed on one of our farms, supported what we do or worked or volunteered with the charity over the past five decades, it promises to be a particularly special read.

This Hodder Books edition of Down Burrow Lane is available now from all good bookshops.
