2kg of freshly picked fig leaves heading off to Rothay Manor Hotel in Ambleside. 🌿📦

These aren’t just leaves—they’re little parcels of coconut, vanilla and fresh green woodland aromas, ready to inspire whatever culinary magic Chef Simon Ulph and his creative team dream up next.

Whether they’re infusing creams, wrapping the finest ingredients, gently smoking, or adding that unmistakable fig perfume to a dish, every leaf brings another layer of flavour and creativity.

We’re just the growers… the clever bit happens once they reach the kitchen. Our job is to grow them. Chef Simon’s job is to make the rest of us wonder, “How on earth did he think of that?” 😉👨‍🍳

We can’t wait to see what beautiful creations emerge from the Rothay Manor kitchen.
