🍊🍊New Release: Limited Edition Clementine Coolship Beer🍊🍊

We’re very delighted to announce the release of the third bottling from our barrel store this week.

A sharp, cirtussy organic wild beer that’s been in the making since 2022.

The bottling is a blend of three different barrels of fully wild-fermented, organic beer from our 2022 and 2023 coolship brewing seasons, that we selected from dozens of others as our favourites for this release.

The barrels were blended together in November 2025 and left to macerate on fifty kilos of organic Oronule clementines, which were lightly pressed to release more of the juice. The blend was bottled and left to condition for nine months.

The result is lovely.  There’s a sharp burst of fresh clementine upfront, followed by the earthy depth and complexity of a wild-fermented beer with such good age. It’s got a very dry, slightly mineral finish, with well-balanced bitterness from the clementine peels.  It pours with a little sparkle.

It’s been exciting to watch these barrels and bottles develop over many months and years - and always a pleasure when a bottle is finally ready for release, after all that waiting.

You can try it now. It's available on the shelves at the Brewery and in Dundee and now online in very limited quantities. Available as 750ml sharing bottles and smaller 330ml taster bottles.

🌞 FRESH BEERS 🍻

After an incredibly busy July at the brewery, we ended up with a Futtle beer shortage at the start of August 😬. Coupled with July's busy-ness, the hot temperatures meant that we couldn't package the beers that were ready when we needed to. All quite stressful... 😵‍💫 but anyway, we were very relieved to get some things back in good stock this week.

Firstly, our organic Lager (only our third batch and definitely our best yet). This is made very simply with floor-malted, whole grain barley and organic, whole leaf Saaz hops. The lager tank is twice the size of anything else in the brewery, so it is always brewed in two halves, over two days - making it a little more arduous to brew than the other beers. Then after fermentation, the batch was lagered for an unusually long 170 days.

It's really delicious - a crisp, dry, Pilsner-style beer, unfiltered, with just enough malty character from the barley, balanced bitterness from the hops and a good sparkly fizz.

And secondly, my favourite of all, our Farmhouse Pale Ale. Made with five different organic whole grains and whole leaf organic Nelson Sauvin hops. It's a light, rustic ale, unfiltered, with the hop character on this batch pushing it a little closer to IPA territory.

Both beers are pouring well at the Brewery and in Dundee and available online to order in 12-packs to anywhere in the UK. 🫶

For those waiting patiently and asking often, we’re very happy to say that this favourite is back in stock and tasting 👌 We can now also ship this to you anywhere in the UK in 6-packs.

Something we’ve been making since before Futtle even came into being – it’s a tried, tested and very well-loved recipe. A proper kombucha.

We brew it each week, very simply with organic white tea and organic cane sugar and then ferment it out slowly with our hard-working SCOBYs. It's bottled unfiltered with no additions. Peachy, clean, with a satisfyingly sharp finish and lovely balance from the tea.

Fergus, 12th Isle co-founder, has regularly broadcasted on NTS radio since 2021, covering many styles and moods across ambient, dub, oddball, electronics, new wave, folk and dance music. He’ll be drawing from his record collection for a themed vinyl set on the night.

Skirting around the edges of ambient and techno, Intertoto’s immersive sonic experiments allow the mind to wander through hazy textural detailing as infinite melodies unravel.
