Witchmark Distillery

Witchmark Distillery Etched in Stone. Rooted in Soil. Captured in Spirit.

Born from Wiltshire's chalk downlands, our spirits capture the essence of our land - from barley grown at our distillery to water filtered through ancient limestone.

What happens to a Witchmark bottle once it’s been emptied?

Witchmark Distillery and Old Green give each bottle a second life, transforming it in Dorset into beautifully made objects for the home.

From vases to candle holders and more, each piece is carefully reworked, thoughtfully finished and returned ready for its next chapter.

Today is World Whisky Day.

Inside our warehouse, the first Witchmark whisky continues its long, careful maturation.

Over halfway through, each cask is moving steadily towards our first release in Autumn 2027.

There is nothing instant about whisky. No shortcut. No hurry.

Just time, wood, spirit and patience.

A glass raised to what is still to come.

For World Cocktail Day, we’re giving the Gimlet a fresh twist.

The Ricky V III brings together Witchmark London Dry, fresh lime juice, a homemade lime oleo and soda for a cocktail that’s crisp, bright and seriously refreshing.

To make the lime oleo, simply mix lime peels with sugar and leave them to sit until the sugar turns into a thick, flavourful syrup. Or, to keep things even simpler, swap it for a standard simple syrup.

Then shake 40ml Witchmark London Dry, 10ml lime oleo and 15ml fresh lime juice over ice. Pour into a glass, top with soda, and finish with a lime wheel garnish.

Simple, sharp and made for the first sip of summer.

Barrel number 1,000.

A number that means a great deal to us, not just for what it marks, but for what it represents. Time, patience, progress, and the work of a brilliant team shaping the future of Witchmark spirit one cask at a time.

Filled at 13:00 on 1st April 2026 with new make spirit, this 1000th barrel now begins its long journey towards becoming Witchmark single malt.

A special moment, and one we’re proud to share.

A mark only matters if you earn it.
This , and during B Corp Month, we’re celebrating not just what goes into the bottle, but the work behind it.

At Witchmark, impact is built into the way we work every day. From barley grown just metres from our distillery using regenerative agriculture, to renewable fuel, heat recovery, 100% recycled glass, and byproducts repurposed back into the local economy, we’re working to prove that great spirits can be made with care, accountability and purpose.

That extends beyond our distillery too, through the community-focused work we’re proud to support with the Bath Rugby Foundation and Alice Combes Trusts.

That commitment helped make us a Certified B Corp in March 2025, with a score of 124.4, making Witchmark the highest-scoring distillery in England.

Our new Impact Report is coming soon, and we expect it to show that we’re doing even better than ever.
