Gregory earning his keep - driving tractors and hitching trailers now he’s 13 (as well as sweeping up and hauling bales around). Pretty much every spare minute spent on the farm so far this summer.

We’ve had a couple of days of Winter Barley to kick us off, but the rapeseed is now looking great too - so the plan is to hit that tomorrow.

The pods on the rapeseed are super dry, so getting it in before they shatter and drop the precious seeds on the ground is critical.

The combine and grain cart teams are glad of their air con. No such luck in the grain store or the press house!

What a fabulous present given to me by the lovely Peter at when I dropped off their oil today - Middle Eastern Feta and Aleppo Pepper bread, and a sumptuous hummus - both made with our oil. The bread is also made with Wiltshire flour from - so a truly local delight, packed with international flavour.

A real treat. Thank you Peter!

The Scouts will be having a campfire, there’s will be s’mores to munch me, tombola to play, nearly new toys to purchase and a chance to have a go at archery 🏹 Come along and see us for the market and grab some early Christmas gifts ⚜️🙂🎄

It’s well and truly apple season - and this apple and cinnamon cake made with yoghurt, our rapeseed oil and relatively little sugar is a beautiful way to celebrate 😋.
