D & J Hayward Growers is a family run farm business which has been running in Landford for three generations so far. We grow grade one leafy salad and vegetable crops which we supply to many of the wholesale markets across the country, together with the catering trade, vegetable brokers and local retail outlets. Our aim is to produce a grade one product, harvested, packed and dispatched within 12 hours. We pride ourselves on producing quality crops, using a balance of traditional farming techniques and modern technology, with the minimum amount of chemical intervention, whilst meeting the ever changing needs of our consumers.

Today marks the beginning of National Farmers Week! 🍏💚

A dedicated time to celebrate and recognize the invaluable contributions of our local farming community.

Throughout this week, we are excited to highlight some of our favorite local growers who consistently provide us with the highest quality produce. To commemorate this special occasion, we are launching our campaign. 🥬🥪

Our first feature is D & J Hayward, renowned for their exceptional local lettuces, including varieties such as Lollo rosso, endive, cos, little gem, savoy cabbage, spring green, and curly kale. Their commitment to sustainable farming practices and delivering fresh, nutrient-rich produce makes them an essential part of our community. We are grateful for all the hard work they put into producing some of the highest quality produce on the market.

Today is day. Here at Heritage we source as much seasonal British produce and as local as possible as we can.

Show your support by buying seasonal British produce and support UK farmers. 🚜

Some of our local suppliers to name a few include Pagets, Hayward Growers, New Forest fruits, Sunbeam watercress, Westlands, Zenith nurseries.

And it’s not just the fruit and veg, we also buy other local produce such as Henge Honey, Stonehenge ales, A’Beckett’s w**e, lots of local cheese including open air dairy cheese, Tim’s dairy yogurts, Mr Filberts snacks, The Bay Tree.
