We pride ourselves in sourcing our broccoli from Penzance, potatoes and cauliflower from Kingsbridge, parsnips from Exeter, apples from Sidmouth and strawberries and raspberries from the Tamar Valley, and seasonal

ly permitting, asparagus from the South Hams and Truro. This is only a very small percentage of a massive selection on offer. All our products are available to the public online at www.tamarfreshathome.co.uk or from our retail outlet at Tamar View Nurseries in Carkeel. In addition to the fine selection of fruit and vegetables in-store, we also have a large selection of meats, fresh bakery, ice cream and preserves. We have a large modern fleet of delivery vehicles (including refrigerated) supplying and supporting businesses across the West Country. David and Ian manage and control the wholesale division from a purpose-built modern warehouse in Saltash. With so much fresh produce grown in our area we feel that we owe it to you our customers to promote our local growers and suppliers. By supporting us you support them and also provide your families with the goodness of produce from local soils. Whilst supporting all ethical policies, we have the ability to source produce from European markets, thus providing you, our customers, with a more extensive range.

We ❤️ Cornish potatoes. We take chips very seriously, working closely with our local supplier, Tamar Fresh, to choose varieties of potatoes that are both local and great for frying at that time of year. There’s a lot of science behind the perfect chip - starting with the level of starch in the potato. If too much, they’ll go dark brown and burn in the beef dripping and too little, they’ll be pale and not crisp enough.

We’ve just changed potato variety from Markies to Accords, grown in Truro, to make sure you’re getting crispy, flavourful chips all summer long at Stein’s Fish & Chips.
