WE ARE CLOSED UNTIL THURSDAY FOR AN END OF SUMMER DEEP CLEAN

As we are very low in stock, we are taking the opportunity to break everything down and have a thorough deep clean, after a long, hot summer, things a starting to look grubby.
We are also due to have a "new toy" added to the shop on Wednesday🀞. Something to look out for πŸ‘€.
We apologise for any inconvenience but the early part of the week is quiet at this time of year and it's a great opportunity to get the shop back in shape.
Thank you all again for your understanding and continued support πŸ™.

SORRY BUT WE WILL REMAIN CLOSED TODAY, SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER, BUT WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW MORNING, SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER, UNTIL 12PM.

This one is down to me (Vic)πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ.

I'd consider myself a pretty resilient man that will keep going through adversity, but last night I took the decision that enough is enough. After watching Victor jnr carry his best friend into a crematorium to the theme tune of "Stand by me", a story about friends that go on an adventure journey together, and then deliver a very touching tribute in front of a packed congregation, I realised time out was needed. Victor was obviously broken hearted and Henry wasn't far behind, Elizabeth too πŸ’”.

It is my job to keep the shop fully stocked and there was plenty to do, meaning getting out of bed before midnight to be ready for a Saturday morning, and I'll admit, I didn't have the stomach for it on this occasion.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will be open with limited stock until 12pm tomorrow.

We will be CLOSED this FRIDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER as we attend the funeral of Victor Jnrs best friend, Dan πŸ’”.

Whilst Victor and Henry were trying to look after the business, with Vic and Georgia away, Victor received a devastating phone call to tell him that Dan had been tragically killed in a car accident.

Dan was a lovely, bubbly character, very polite and respectful lad that had a good job and a bright future, we can't believe he is gone. As a family, we will be there on Friday to say goodbye and pay our respects to Dan, but also support Victor as he carries his best friend into the Church and then delivers a eulogy in front of the massive congregation that is expected πŸ’™.

Whilst we have been very grateful for the many messages of support recently, we will be turning off commenting on this post as we do not wish to make this about us. This has hit us hard, especially Victor, but our thoughts are with Dan's family as they bury their beloved Son and brother (and all extended relations)πŸ’”.

Anybody seen Georgia lately? Wonder how she is?.......we're sure many of you have had these thoughts πŸ€”.

Following her hip operation, Georgia went to stay with her parents in Spain, so her mum, Maureen, could look after her, I went out to join her for a few days and bring her home but the day before we left, the table was turned, and their worlds turned upside down, when her mum was diagnosed with that f@ #£ing horrible disease 😒. (excuse my language).
We went home on the Thursday to see the kids, before returning to Spain the following Tuesday, so Georgia could be with her mum as she underwent major surgery and to care for her as she recovers.
Back in January, Georgia's dad (and mum) took over a local bar (who wants an easy retirement anyway?) which has become very popular with the local community, following the body blow they received, it looked like they would have to let the bar go as they clearly had other priorities. We're delighted, and a little bit proud of the role that we played, that we believe we found the perfect solution that will see somebody take over the management of the bar from the 1st September for the following 12 months, allowing for a positive future πŸ™
Feeling that my purpose was done, I returned home to the kids and our business 2 weeks ago but left Georgia behind. Not wanting to hand over a business that has been sitting idle, Georgia grabbed the reins and took over managing it to the delight of the locals. Georgia has also been able to care for her mum and spend some precious time with her ❀️.
What about Georgia's own condition? You may ask? .......What condition? In times of trouble, she pushes her own problems to one side, rolls her sleeves up and gets going.......when the going gets tough, the tough get going πŸ’ͺ.
On Tuesday, Georgia comes home to us, we've missed her beyond belief but πŸ’― support what she's been doing. The kids have had a tough ride (with other events too) and are looking forward to getting their mum back? Me? I get my soul mate, my best friend, my strength and my inspiration back, Hardwicke's get the glue that holds it all together back πŸ’ͺ.
It's been a very tough period for us and we've taken some knocks, we may be down but never beatenπŸ’ͺ.

EYES BACK ON THE PRIZE πŸ‘€

1st of all, thank you for your understanding and cooperation whilst Georgia and I have been away in Spain, dealing with a family issue. The boys, aided by Elizabeth, done a fantastic job looking after our home and business.

I've had to leave Georgia behind but I'm home now to concentrate on getting the business back up to full speed.

The shop is looking fabulous today with a number of new items added to the produce list, take a look at the attached photos to see some beautiful produce 😍.

We will also be back outside The Fish Shop Camberley tomorrow, you know we love it there πŸ˜€.

Thanks again, Vic πŸ’™β€οΈ
