Yates brewery weekly update,
First off looking forward to seeing anyone that is popping to the The Volunteer later today to try the VPA. Two things have come up with the VPA that we would like to just say a couple of things about first off the name Ventnor premium ales instead of Ventnor pale, from going some online reading a research we found that VPA was know under a few different names, VEEPS, VPA, Ventnor pale ale and Ventnor premium ale. one thing we found when searching Ventnor pale ale online is that Ventnor botanicas pale ale was more likely to come up where as VPA was more likely to come up when searching for Ventnor premium.
second was the lower abv, this is a hand up moment for nosh to say he miss calculated the extraction from the base malts and missed the O.G, this gave us a beer with a lower abv. we could have labelled this beer as 4% as it would have been with in the abv percentage defence we are allow because of the secondardy fermentation in cask but we decide not to do that.
If we decide to continue to produce VPA we will choose to change thing as it evolves based of what people think later today and in the future.
But into other updates we are finally there with the don't look back in amber pump clip so though we show you how it's looking. The brew its self is not under way yet as we want to make sure all the hops play well together before we commit to using the most hops yates have every put in a beer to date.
looking forward to seeing everyone later on at 5 if not just before.
