Remember on Saturday when I offered cream cheese frosting INSIDE brownies… and a few of you looked at me like I’d completely lost the plot? 🤣🤣

Welllll… some of you were brave enough to trust me and give them a go — and you absolutely demolished them! 😂 Especially one little customer who ate theirs in record time, with absolutely ZERO complaints about the “strange” filling 🤣👏

They were that good, I’ve actually made a batch for us at home today… which says a lot because normally I’m sick of looking at cake by the time I’ve finished baking it 😂

So, moral of the story…

If you ever see me offering something that sounds a little strange — DON’T BE SCARED! 👀😂

Give it a try… you might just be pleasantly surprised 😉🤤

❤️ A little shout-out to my eldest daughter, Robyn! ❤️

At just 12 years old, Robyn has become such an incredible little part of For Shaw This Slaps, and after Saturday, I couldn't not give her the recognition she deserves.

She absolutely insisted that she wanted to help us, and my goodness... she was AMAZING! 🥹

She was taking people's orders, speaking to customers, being incredibly polite and just getting stuck in wherever she could. We genuinely couldn't have done it without her help.

But the part that really got me was the amount of people who came up to me afterwards just to tell me how wonderful she was. 🥹❤️

Every compliment, every lovely comment about her manners and how well she'd done... my heart honestly couldn't have been any more fuller.

As a parent, you spend so much time wondering whether you're getting things right. And standing there listening to complete strangers compliment the young lady she's becoming, I had one of those moments where I thought...

"Do you know what? I must have done something right." ❤️

So thank you to every single person who took the time to approach me and say something lovely about Robyn. You probably didn't realise how much those words meant to me, but they genuinely meant the world.

For those who don't know us behind the food, For Shaw This Slaps really is a family affair.

We're a husband-and-wife team with four beautiful children, ranging from 3 to 12 years old. Running a food business alongside raising four children definitely isn't always easy — especially when so much of our work is evenings and weekends!

We're incredibly lucky to have childcare on Fridays and Saturdays, but if you visit us on a Thursday, there's a very good chance you'll see the whole Shaw crew in tow. 😂❤️

It's chaotic, it's busy, and sometimes it's a juggling act...

But it's ours. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

And who knows... at this rate, Robyn might be running For Shaw This Slaps before we know it. 😂❤️

We're so unbelievably proud of you, Robyn. Keep being you. ❤️

On the tables inside and out you'll find out menu with our QR code for ordering, if you don't fancy doing that then please let a staff member know and we will happily take your order in person 😁

We opened up shop in April and what a ride so far, we have new faces and returning faces, we never thought at the beginning that people will actually enjoy our food, the prep, the cook, the restless days is all worth it just to hear what our customers think of the food!
