Our 3rd year showing at the Royal Highland Show and delighted to have picked up another Rosette.

3rd in a really strong class of shearling tups the same as he was last year in his class as a lamb.

Well done to Ayrshire Valais Blacknose on getting supreme champion and with the lovely gimmer and to Raymond Irvine and Jenny on getting Reserve champion with the Shearling tup.

Thank you to Phil Garrod for also taking the time to come up and judge such big classes.

Huge well done to everyone else who collect rosettes or turned out sheep.
A fantastic 4 days of laughs and carry on and plenty of 🍻

Drymen 25 v Drymen 26

3rd show of the season at Drymen Show and we are home absolutely delighted again with the result from our boy.

Spango Marmaduke 1st in another strong tup of class of 7 or 8.

He the went on to claim Overall Reserve Champion.

This last months been an absolute dream with our boy 😍

Well done and congratulations to Tom Blackwoodand his team at Ayrshire Valais Blacknose for taking Supreme champion with there gimmer the one I picked out from the start 😍

Another outstanding show of valais sheep all round by everyone showing and probably the largest section of sheep there.

Next stop the Royal Highland Show.

4:30am alarms set the last two mornings.
Yesterday morning to wash sheep before marking lambs
This morning to head to Fife show.

Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow morning and realise it hasn't been a dream.

This time last year Spango Marmaduke went to Fife show as a lamb and brought us home 1st place red ticket 👌
This year Spango Marmaduke went as a shearling and brought us home 1st place red ticket out a strong class of 9 rams.
Absolutely delighted.
Well done to all exhibitors who took home rosettes 🏵️

He wasn't finished there though he then went onto take Champion Valais Blacknose from a strong line up of Valais sheep in the championship from 4 different breeders a real credit to them all and congratulations to Valais Blacknose Stirlingshire - Whiterigg Flock for taking Reserve champion.

Big thanks to Raymond Irvine for judging and the effort and time taken in each class was 👌.

We then went into the Sheep Interbeed Championship where a Valais is almost often overlooked or frowned upon.

Spango Marmaduke decided to show his presence and brought us home the
Interbreed Reserve Champion out of all the sheep on show.🤯

It's yet to be confirmed but I think it's the 1st time this has happened in Scotland and hopefully not the last time a Valais Blacknose does this or does better.

I couldn't do this without my wee team and family and all the support and encouragement from our Valais friends. ❤️

Last year Spango Marmaduke brought home the red rosette as a tup lamb this year he decided to go one step further he took 1st in the shearling class and then went on to take Overall Reserve Champion.

Absolutely loved watching this lad of our own grow from a lamb right through to a shearling.

Well done to everyone else who was showing today and collected rosettes another great show of Valais sheep on display for the 1st show of the season.
