Arrival/departure on any day but minimum two nights stay.

It’s funny how when we’re younger a cabin in the woods is something out of a horror film, but as you get older you realise it’s actually the dream.

A cabin surrounded by woodland, the silence, the wildlife, your only concern being when to dip into the hot tub, and quality time with your favourite person.

Our woodland cabins with hot tubs give you that feeling of escapism, without really having to go that far.

We take “soak beneath the stars” pretty seriously here 🌌

When building our cabins, we made a lot of choices with the dark sky reserve in mind. As a result, you can stargaze straight from your hot tub.

Our advice?

Turn off the exterior lights.
Leave your phone inside.
Get into the hot tub.
Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust.
And then watch as new stars slowly appear above you.

It’s little moments like these that turn a stay into something a little more.

The Art of Being Lazy’ started as a bit of a tongue in cheek tagline, but over time, it’s become the best way we can describe what we want Prospect House Farm to be about.

Not laziness in the traditional sense. Just giving yourself permission to do less without feeling like you should be doing something else.

A late morning that turns into an even later breakfast, hours disappearing in the hot tub, getting through half a book in one sitting, realising it’s 4pm and you haven’t actually done anything yet.

And that being absolutely fine.

We’ll provide the cabin, you’re more than welcome to do absolutely nothing in it.

One to save for your next family camping trip 📌

Prospect House Farm is for the families who want to spend a few days properly outdoors, but still have those little extras around that make camping that bit easier.

It’s laid-back, peaceful and surrounded by countryside, while still being close enough to Scarborough to fill your days exploring the coast.

Come for a weekend, switch off for a little while, let the kids enjoy being outdoors and make the most of those long summer evenings that camping just seems to do best.

I mean, how many places can you say you stayed in the woods, but could also see the sea?

Our cabins really are the best of both worlds.

Look out to the sea from your decking with your morning coffee, while still feeling completely shut off from the outside world when you’re in the woods, soaking in the hot tub at night.

And this sea view comes without the crowds. Instead, your neighbours are the deer.

Mornings at our cabins often start exactly like this. Not a sound in the air, just the deer playing right in front of you.

We always encourage our guests to get up that little bit earlier when they stay with us. If you’re lucky, you’ll be treated to mornings like this.

It’s not something many of us get to experience at home, and it’s one of those moments our guests tell us they always remember.

Nothing beast the feeling of arriving to your campsite knowing you don’t have to cook 🍕

That’s why we host pizza nights every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the camping season.

Spend the day exploring, settle back at your pitch, order a freshly made pizza, light the firepit and enjoy an evening outdoors without having to wash up afterwards.

Camping is all about slowing down, and nothing says ’slowing down’ more than someone else making your dinner.

We had a previous guest write this in our guest book once, and we haven’t stopped thinking about it.

“The lodge is a perfect balance between being open to nature and private enough to let you relax in your own little world.”

For us, that perfectly sums up our lodges.

You’re completely immersed in the woodland. It’s quiet, yet filled with the sounds of wildlife, the kind of sounds you rarely hear at home.

Mornings are best spent with a coffee on the decking, lying in the hammock, and keeping an eye out for the deer as they wander past.

I think it’s easy to forget that places like this still exist. In a world of screens, city lights and constant noise, mornings like these feel almost unfamiliar.

But here, they’re just the norm 🌳
