🍦✨ Something sweet (and loud!) is happening at our sister pub… 🎸🍻

If you fancy a proper night out this Saturday, our friends over at The Three Jolly Sailors in Burniston are hosting LIVE MUSIC — and it’s set to be a big one!

The band Over The Limit are performing from 8:30pm, there’s FREE PARKING, great food, great drinks… the lot.

We love shouting about what our sister venues are up to, and this one is definitely worth popping up for. If it goes well, they’ll be adding more live bands every month — so let’s help them start strong! 🙌

We’re excited to share some news – alongside T.M.K York, Saltwater, Scooped and The Miniature Golf here in Scarborough’s North Bay, we’re now taking on the role of landlords at the much-loved Three Jolly Sailors in Burniston.

As a local business rooted in the North Bay community, we’re passionate about creating welcoming spaces where great food, drinks, and friendly faces come together. The Jollies has long been the cornerstone of village life in Burniston, and we’re proud to carry on that tradition while bringing the same warmth and hospitality you know from Saltwater.

We’d also like to wish Annie all the very best in her retirement – she has done an incredible job making the Jollies the pub it is today, and we’re honoured to continue her legacy.

We can’t wait to welcome you there soon – whether you’re a Saltwater regular, a Burniston local, or just passing through, the Jollies will always have a seat for you. 🌟

We’re gearing up for the 2025 season and looking for enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our team! Whether you’re a seasoned chef, a cocktail pro, or looking for your first job, we have multiple opportunities available.

🌊 Saltwater Café Bar – Seasonal Roles (April – September)

📌 Chef / Cook (Seasonal, Fixed-Term Contract)

• Work in a fast-paced kitchen preparing high-quality food.

• Must be able to use various kitchen
equipment, including Merrychefs & fryers.

• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

• Must be reliable and dedicated to the role.

• Part-time to start, with hours increasing to full-time (up to 60 hours per week) as the season progresses.

• Multiple positions available.

📌 Front of House (Seasonal, Fixed-Term Contract)

• Looking for versatile staff with experience in cocktail and coffee making.

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

• Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred (but we can provide training).

• Part-time to start, progressing to full-time (up to 60 hours per week in peak summer).

• Multiple positions available.

Both roles require flexibility, dedication, and a positive attitude!

🍦 Scooped Ice Cream Parlour – Seasonal & Permanent Roles

📌 Part-Time Manager (Permanent Role)

• Full-time in summer, part-time in winter (hours balanced over the year).

• Manage staff and create delicious desserts.

• Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate required.

• Experience in both cooking and customer service essential.

📌 Ice Cream & Dessert Makers (Seasonal Role)

• Perfect first job—no experience needed!

• Basic training provided.

• Serve ice cream and make delicious
desserts in a fun, fast-paced environment.

💰 Pay & Perks

• All roles meet National Minimum Wage rates (April 2025).
