🎉 BIG NEWS FROM WILSON’S… WE’RE EXPANDING! 🎉
(It’s a long post… sorry, not sorry 😂 make a cuppa or pour a glass & get comfy!)
We’ve been excited to share this one!
Wilson’s Food Hall is growing! 🤍
Following The Little Play Company’s decision to sell, an opportunity arose that simply felt right for the next chapter of Wilson’s, and, importantly, for our local community.
We’re delighted to announce that we will be connecting the two buildings to create a larger Wilson’s Food Hall.
And whilst we’re VERY excited about having more space, the real reason this opportunity feels so right is what we can do with that space.
Since opening Wilson’s, the support from our wonderful customers has been incredible. At busy times we simply don’t have enough seats, and we’ve reached the limit of what we can offer from our existing deli counter and retail area.
Then came the recent Proudfoots announcement, and suddenly the opportunity to expand felt even more important.
A number of local suppliers and producers have since approached Wilson’s, concerned about what the changes could mean for them and asking whether we could help provide another home for their products.
Wherever we possibly can, we want to say YES.
So, at the very heart of our expansion will be a much bigger deli counter and retail offering, giving us the opportunity to stock even more locally produced food and drink and support more of the fantastic independent businesses and families within our area.
We don’t want our community to lose what it loves about shopping locally, knowing where its food comes from and supporting the people who produce it.
And supporting local doesn’t stop with what we put on our shelves.
Today, our Wilson’s family has grown to 33 wonderful team members, making us incredibly proud to have become one of the largest employers in Seamer. Behind that number are local people and local families and that means far more to us than the number itself.
This expansion will create further employment opportunities, allowing us to continue investing in local people as Wilson’s grows.
So, this next chapter means:
🥖 A bigger deli offering.
🛍️ More locally produced products on our shelves.
🤝 More opportunities for local suppliers and producers.
🧑🧑🧒More local employment opportunities.
❤️More support for local businesses and families.
🍽️And much-needed additional seating for our customers.
And then there’s another little matter…
MORE PARKING! 🚙
We’ll be adding 7 additional customer parking spaces, taking our total to 10. 🙌🏻

Seamer is growing rapidly and we want to continue growing alongside it, responding to what our customers and community need while holding onto everything that makes Wilson’s, Wilson’s.
This isn’t about changing what you love.
It’s simply about creating more room for it. Same Wilson’s. Same values.
Employ local. Buy local. Support local.
We’re incredibly grateful to our customers, our fantastic team, our suppliers, producers and the wider community for continuing to support our independent family business.
