n welfare and environmental stewardship. Our staff are pioneers who combine their expertise with innovation to develop our unique farming approach which continues to influence fish farming methods. These approaches include low density farming, a unique rotational fallowing system, swim-throughs and a high marine content feed, to ensure the best quality, cared for salmon, asked for by name and enjoyed around the world. We are the first fish farm in the world to be accredited with ‘RSPCA Assured’ approval, and know that welfare and taste are intrinsically connected. Strand Foods is a trusted distribution partner of Loch Duart Salmon in the United States.

Michael Romine, the CEO of Strand Foods, visited the Loch Duart sites in Sutherland, North West Scotland, earlier in May.

“The first time I came here was 2008 and all these years later, it never gets old. I just wish that every single one of our customers could come and see this for themselves and understand this incredible, beautiful, natural environment that these fish are grown in. It’s an absolute honour to be out here and selling this wonderful product in the United States."

Chef Yuri Szarzewski is the Owner and Executive Chef at Partage restaurant in Las Vegas, the finest restaurant in Las Vegas for French food in small plates. In this video, Chef Yuri shares more about his visit to the Loch Duart sites at our home in Sutherland, north west Scotland.

“I am proud to see the work that Loch Duart is doing to keep the salmon the closest way to wild salmon. I can see that the fish are really healthy and they have more space that I was expecting.”

Adam, Keith and Robert from Loch Duart Salmon hosted Chef Yuri Szarzewski of Partage, Todd White of Santa Monica Seafood and Michael Romine of Strand Foods for a tour of the sites in Sutherland.

In beautiful sunshine, the group were able to meet our dedicated teams, sample our unique heritage breed of salmon, and find out more about what makes Loch Duart salmon truly special.
