Across both Prima sites, colleagues came together for our Macmillan Bake Sale, supporting Macmillan Cancer Support through fundraising, awareness, and plenty of homemade treats. More importantly, it provided an opportunity to connect, share stories, and support a cause that affects countless individuals and families.🍰

What started as a traditional HR team of two will evolve into a People & Culture team of five by the end of 2026, reflecting Prima’s belief that investing in people matters. As the business has grown, so has the focus on culture, wellbeing, development and creating a workplace where people can do their best work and feel part of something bigger.

🌟 Total headcount at Prima has increased by over 15% in just 18 months across North and South sites.

Meet our Engineering Team, the problem-solvers, innovators, and builders who keep Prima moving.🌟

Behind every smooth-running production line, every quality product, and every on-time delivery is our Facilities, Maintenance & Engineering (FME) Team making it happen. From electrical, mechanical and pneumatic expertise to designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke equipment in-house, this team supports almost every function across Prima.🧡

What makes them unique is the scope of what they do. Alongside maintaining and improving production equipment, they deliver around 70% of fabrication work in-house, designing, welding and manufacturing solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and support business growth.🧀

Their impact extends far beyond the factory floor. From machinery installations and production line improvements to maintaining facilities, painting walls and safety barriers, repairing doors, and even keeping our outdoor spaces looking their best, engineering helps ensure every part of Prima operates at its best. 🛠️

Did you know? The team has saved around £500k in a single year through in-house design, fabrication and manufacturing improvements.😌

While much of their work happens behind the scenes, their impact can be seen everywhere, from production performance and product quality to site standards, workplace safety and continuous improvement. They’re not just fixing problems; they’re building a stronger future for Prima. 🚀

Our Quality Control team doesn’t just inspect, they cook, test, and document each cheese to ensure it performs exactly as it should. From texture and melt to taste and consistency, every detail is evaluated before it reaches you.

When the world cup whistle blows, our factory pauses!⚽️🧀 We’ve got the world cup fever at Prima!!

Throughout the World Cup, we made the decision to pause production so our teams could come together and watch England in action.🏆
And as diversity is one of Prima’s greatest strengths, colleagues supporting other nations across the game were also given the opportunity to cheer on their teams.
