Highfield Ryelands & Crossbutts Coloured Ryelands

Sad post today. We lost the wonderful Lawrence, aka Highfield Yves Saint Laurent.
He was the most gentle, mischievous and handsome of sheep and was very much Pippa’s from birth.
We missed a couple of showing years to the pandemic but Pippa had an amazing showing career with him by her side.
He watched the show team load up on Sunday and genuinely looked sad not to be going along too.
We’ll miss this character in the field very much indeed.

A proud moment post!
Chester Copperpot was champion Ryeland at Tockwith Show, also going on to take reserve interbreed as well.
Having had multiple offers to buy this gorgeous boy, we can’t bring ourselves to part with him. He’s very much made himself part of the Highfield family, often dropping in for a visit to the kitchen.
But what makes him so special for us and his results extra special is that we bred both his parents as well.
He’s given us some lovely lambs this season too who have been well into the ribbons!
So this is our Chester appreciation picture, we absolutely love him and he knows it 🥰🐑

We’ve only gone and won supreme champion Ryeland/Coloured and best pair today at Lincolnshire County Show!
Highfield Delilah and Highfield Chester, both homebred, have done us proud! 🐑🐑
