Last week, QMU and Leuchie House committed to a new partnership which aims to advance person-centred care for people with neurological conditions like Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and motor neurone disease (MND).

Building upon a 10 year relationship, the now official partnership will not only help identify new research opportunities to support people living with degenerative diseases, but it will also create opportunities for students from QMU’s School of Health Sciences to gain practical experience through various student placement opportunities. Our Margaret is 21! 🎉 😀

That’s right Margaret has been cooking up delicious food and home baking for guests and staff (one of the many perks of working at Leuchie 😋) for twenty one years!

Our guests can often have complex nutritional and dietary needs and there is a lot of hard work and planning behind the scenes when coming up with new menus for our returning guests. Add to that, afternoon teas, home baking, providing food for last minute visitors and things like and she barely has a chance to catch a breath.

She is joined in the kitchen by the fabulous Audrey and Ali, who also never ever stop! 💚💚

Amy, one of our school coordinators, recently organised a session with Steve Eadon, CEO of Mingalaba, with Earlston High School S3 pupils.

Steve talked about how learning languages had a super positive influence on his career opportunities within the world of professional football.
