We are an award-winning family farm in Kent with an innovative range of mail order products and a unique farm shop set amidst spectacular fields of lavender. We sell a range of local farm foods, our own seasonal farm produce and lots of lovely Lavender essential oils and gifts.

APPLES 🍎 || Bring the little ones…. Our pretty little orchard is open this weekend & next weekend - Fri 4 / Sat 5 / Sun 6 & Fri 11 / Sat 12 / Sun 13🍎 from 10am - 5pm.

With the popularity of these apples, we expect the orchard to only be open for these two weekends before picked out! So don’t leave it too long to visit!

Enjoy picking our famous Norfolk Royal Apples straight from the tree - they taste amazing! ⁠PYO Apples are £3.50 per kilo.

A few things to note -⁠
🍎 No need to book, just pay for what you pick⁠
🍎 Twist, don’t pull the apples from the tree!
🍎 Bring your own bags - or you can buy reusable canvas bags and apple picking baskets on site.⁠
🍎 Please PLEASE 🙏🏻 only pick what you intend to buy.. in the past we have sadly experienced a huge amount of ‘Apple waste’ with people over-picking for photos and leaving apples on the floor. This will be closely monitored this year to avoid ‘abandoned apples’.⁠
🍎 Dedicated car park at the orchard.⁠
🍎When the orchard is closed, ready picked apples are available from the farm shop.⁠

FARM SHOP 💚 || Just look at all of these beautiful displays…! As we head into Autumn, new Hop Bines adorn the beams and the displays change to reflect the seasons!

So many beautiful gifts, decorations and toiletries in store alongside our local farm foods, drinks, farm beef, fresh eggs and local bread. We still have Kent Strawberries too - but the season is coming to a close!

FARM SHOP open Tuesday - Sunday all year round! We hope to welcome you soon!

BOTTLED 💜 || As the summer slowly draws to a close, all of our lavender has now been harvested and distilled here at Castle Farm, capturing the beautiful scent of our fields and bottling it up for the year ahead.

☀️Our lavender certainly loved this summer’s heatwave! The warm, dry weather has helped produce a wonderful quality oil, with a beautifully smooth and aromatic scent.

🚜 From growing and harvesting, through to distilling and bottling, we take care at every stage. Our lavender is steam distilled here on the farm within hours of being harvested, so the character and scent of the fields can be captured in the oil.

We grow 4 different Lavender varieties on the farm, each with their own scent profile…

PYO APPLES 2026🍎 || Our pretty little orchard reopens for Pick Your Own Apples on Friday 4th September – and will be open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday (10am–5pm) until the trees are picked out… this year due to the frost in May (during blossom 🌸), and the extended heatwave there is a very small crop.. it’s likely we may only be open for 2 weekends 🍎🌳✨

Come and enjoy picking our famous Norfolk Royal Apples straight from the tree – crisp, juicy, and utterly delicious.

📅 Opening weekend:
Fri 4th, Sat 5th & Sun 6th September | 10am – 5pm

A few things to know before you visit:
🍎 No booking required – just pay for what you pick.
🍎 Please bring your own bags – or pick up a reusable canvas bag or apple basket on site.
🍎 Pick responsibly! 🙏 Only harvest what you intend to buy. In past years, over-picking for photos has sadly led to apple waste. This will be closely monitored in 2026.
🍎 Dedicated car park at the orchard.
🍎 Ready-picked apples also available in the farm shop when the orchard is closed.
🍎 Nearest toilets: Lullingstone Visitor Centre (just down the road).

FRESH HOPS 🌿|| Decorate beautifully with these 2.5-3m long bines of green foliage. Put them up in position fresh and they will dry naturally and keep their shape all year.

Pre order your delivery via our website, and they will be cut, boxed and sent out on overnight courier 🚚🌿 direct to your door.

We despatch across the country for decoration inside houses, across beams, above pub bars or in marquees and barns... plus on film sets by production companies or in theatre and shop fronts. ⁠🌿🌿🌿

Throughout history, we have produced Hops specifically for use in brewing beer, however, now our Hops are purely grown for interior decoration. They are versatile, great value and hold dramatic impact all year round. ⁠

SUNFLOWER SEED HEADS🌻 Don’t overlook the sunflowers that have gone to seed… 🌻. If you’re visiting our Sunflower Field this weekend, keep an eye out for some of the flowers that have finished blooming and are now heavy with hundreds of tiny sunflower seeds.

This is a completely natural part of the sunflower’s life cycle — and we think it’s rather wonderful. 🌻

✂️ You can pick the big, heavy seed heads, take them home and simply hang them up in a tree or hang them somewhere in your garden.

🦅 Throughout autumn, the birds will discover your very own little sunflower bird feeder, feast on the seeds.

🌻 So don’t just look for the bright yellow blooms (and don’t worry, there are plenty still in flower!!) — the seed heads are pretty special too. 💛

FRESH HOP SEASON 🌿 || Dispatch starts this week! It’s such a short season - get your order in ASAP!

For generations, our family farm has grown hops in the Darent Valley. Over 250 years ago, they were harvested for Kentish beer – today, we grow them for their natural beauty and use in interior decoration.

Trailing with green cones and pretty foliage, our Hop Bines are freshly cut from the fields and make a uniquely rustic decoration. Whether hung in a farmhouse kitchen, draped across a pub bar, or styled at a country wedding, they bring a touch of Kent heritage indoors. Thank you 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐚 for the lovely photos!

SUNFLOWERS 🌻 || A few important changes to our Sunflower field dates. Due to the extended heatwave and lack of rain.. our sunflowers are not flowering for as long as they have done in previous years… as such we have made the decision to cancel our Bank Holiday weekend dates of 28-31st August.

If you have already booked on these dates, you have been emailed with instructions as to how to amend your booking to an earlier date (for free), or you will receive an automatic full refund (check your inbox 😊).

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience, particularly if you had planned your visit around the Bank Holiday weekend. This wasn’t a decision we took lightly, but we feel it is the fairest way to give our visitors the best possible sunflower experience this summer. 😊🌻

Thank you for your understanding and for bearing with the unpredictability of farming — and, particularly this year, the British weather! ☀️🌻

FARM SHOP & COFFEE 🌼☕️ || Open Tues - Sunday, and packed with Summer decorations, farm foods, treats & snacks and ideas to keep the kids entertained in the holidays! Plants for the garden and our lovely Coffee Cabin sit just outside with benches for view while you sip!

The sunflower field is only open Friday- Sundays, so the crop has time to produce more blooms between weekends, but the farm shop is still open midweek for ice creams, ice coffees and a relaxing stroll to see the river or spot the cows in the water meadows, before picking up something delicious for dinner!
