The classic pineapple tart has finally landed in the UK! 🍍🇬🇧

Buttery pastry topped around fresh pineapple jam that we slow cook for hours until it’s deep and golden. We double bake every tart so the buttery flavour really comes through, and use all butter, no preservatives, baked by hand in small batches.

It’s been a real joy reading these. 🍍

We launched Humbl Bites just a few weeks ago, and the kindness from people trying our pineapple tarts for the first time has genuinely floored us. We’re a small family bakery, working out of our kitchen in Sevenoaks.

They’re officially here. 🍵🍍

Our Matcha Pineapple Tarts are now available to order, and we couldn’t be more proud of these.

For the matcha lovers among you. We’re using 100% organic premium grade matcha from Uji, Kyoto. For anyone who isn’t familiar, Uji is widely regarded as the home of the finest matcha in the world.

What you get is something a little unexpected. You taste the matcha first, beautifully balanced by the rich buttery pastry, before being hit by the golden pineapple jam we slow-cook ourselves from real, fresh pineapples.

Each matcha pineapple tart is still made by hand, double baked to ensure its comes out perfectly.

These are perfect for matcha lovers, gifting, afternoon tea, or simply because you fancy something a little different.

Last week felt like a real moment for us. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We got our 5-star food hygiene rating by Sevenoaks District Council.

I’ll be honest, the inspection was nerve-wracking. We’re a small kitchen, just at the start of our journey, and you want every detail to be right when someone is checking your work. But it also gave us a chance to step back and reflect on how seriously we take this.

Every tart that leaves our kitchen is made with the same care we’d want for our own family. The hours spent cleaning. The temperature checks. The labelling. The traceability. None of it gets seen by anyone, but all of it matters.

It’s about the hard work, the details, and the care that goes in every single day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We are properly just getting started. 🙏

Thank you everyone for the early support and orders we have received over the last two weeks. One thing that has come up in our many conversations with you all is the anticipation of trying a Matcha Pineapple Tart.

We have been busy finalising the recipe, adding the right amount of matcha, and more importantly… eating them. 😄 We have given some out to friends and neighbours, and they are just as excited about this new flavour as we are.

These photos show them fresh out of the oven, and one before the bake - but the matcha green really comes through. We’re just waiting on the new packaging and labels before we officially launch them.

But for all our matcha lovers — they’re coming very soon. 🙏

We’re officially live. 🍍

Our website is up and we’re now taking orders, and what a first week it has been. We’ve been truly blessed with your support, your kind words, and your orders. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

In just two months, we set up the packaging, the branding, the website, passed our food hygiene certification, registered with Sevenoaks District Council, and somehow kept baking through all of it.

There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes, but every moment has been worth it.

The feedback so far has made us smile more than we can say. This is just the beginning.

The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind if we’re honest, website still in progress, packaging finalised, labels printed, and more batches of pineapple tarts coming out of our kitchen than we ever imagined.

Right now we’re baking fresh batches for friends and family, our way of making sure everything is just right before we properly open our doors.
There’s something lovely about sharing them with the people closest to us first.

Today’s batch started with cutting up fresh pineapples for the jam, the smell alone makes it all worth it. 🍍

Less than two weeks to launch now. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little nervous, but mostly we’re just really excited to finally share these with you.

Making a fresh batch to perfect our matcha pineapple tarts. I also couldn’t resist making more of our signature pineapple too, always an excuse to be the taster.

We’re a few weeks out from launching and the reality is starting to hit. Both exciting and terrifying, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
