From milk to meadow 🐄
we have 4 calves still feeding from mums for 8 months. A natural point for weaning to begin is 6–9 months naturally. We are moving the mums to a different field, away from sight and sound, to help the calves wean calmly without their mums close by, while they and the steers get fresh grazing on better pasture. Good for the herd, good for the grass.
