You may have seen the sad news that the brilliant ***rbrewing are closing at the end of July. 😢
In their roughly 7 years of trading they have consistently brewed high quality exciting beers across a wide range of styles. Moreover, as UK's first q***r and trans owned brewery their visibility has been an inspiration to others in craft beer and beyond. Their presence on shelves and taps has also signified welcoming safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people. They will definitely be missed by us and across the industry.
In the meantime however we have Four fantastic additions to our fridge, plus a couple of kegs in the cellar, and hopefully a few more releases before the end of July.
- LATEX -
Latex and Leather are Q***r Brewing's two special releases for this years Pride Month.
Latex is a light refreshing Pale hopped with New Zealand's Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops. The soft base carries the bright citrus and white grape aromas beautifully resulting in a vibrant, quaffable session beer.
- LEATHER -
Big and bold in its flavours, this IPA is brewed with lashings of Dolcita and Mosaic. The juicy tropical character of the beer is amplified with a kviek yeast providing added vibrancy. Watch out for this one on keg too.
- ONE OF MANY -
The result of Q***r Brewing's second annual International Women's Day brewday. Brewed to symbolise the collective power of community, and seeing yourself reflected in the people around you. This DIPA is bold, punchy and stacked with pineapple, Mango and citrus flavours.
- EXISTENCE AS A RADICAL ACT -
The long standing Flagship beer of Q***r Brewing. Described as a beer simply taking up space in a hostile world. It has been brewed since 2019 with 10p of every pint or can sold by Q***r Brewing being donated to rotating LGBTQ+ charities. The beer itself is a fantastically flavoursome and easy drinking Pale. Packed with pineapple, lime zest and Tangerine flavours bursting through, its always a winner. And its Gluten Free!
- DEAD HEAD -
Not pictured but also coming soon on keg, this twist on their classic Belgian Wit, Flowers is brewed with and
Gentle Citrus and coriander seed flavours shine through.
