Weā€™ve been having lots of meetings (with tasty food) and planning away, and thanks to a BEAUTIFUL community effort we raised Ā£500 to secure the venue for Pickle Fest 2026. So we are delighted to announceā€¦

šŸ«§Pickle Fest is officially making its big return on

Get those competition entries fermenting pickle babes, we canā€™t wait to taste whatā€™s in those jarrrrsss! šŸ« šŸ„• šŸ… (Categories coming soon)

The kraut-funder is still live and if we can raise another Ā£250 it will help us to fund the festival itself and keep social pickleā€™s community workshops and other activities bubbling away until October.

Like a scoby at the back of the fridge, Social Pickle has been a little dormant recently. But now itā€™s out, bubbling away again, and in need of feeding šŸ«§

The question youā€™ve all been asking: is Pickle Fest happening this year? The answer is: hopefully!!

We want to celebrate all things pickled, preserved and fermented with Sheffieldā€™s many pickle fans once again ā€” while keeping the festival safe, sustainable and accessible to everyone šŸ’š

But weā€™re a very small team of volunteers organising the festival (and we still donā€™t have a kitchen space from which to generate income), so we need some help covering the up-front costs of making Pickle Fest 2026 happen šŸ‘€

Please donā€™t be put off by the Ā£5000 target! It was a random number we initially put in before realising Crowdfunder doesnā€™t let you change it once youā€™ve released it into the world. Any amount is helpful, even if itā€™s small!

If youā€™ve got a few coins rattling around at the bottom of your pocket, consider chucking one in the kraut jar. šŸ«™
