What a day! ❤️

As we reopened our doors at Moor Market today, we honestly didn’t know what to expect. After everything that’s happened over the past few weeks, it was an emotional day for our team.

Seeing so many of you walk through our doors, whether you came to do your shopping or simply stopped by to say hello, meant more to us than words can express.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who has supported not only Tracy’s Quality Fruit & Veg, but all of the incredible independent businesses here at Moor Market. Your loyalty, kind words and continued support have helped us through what has been a very difficult time.

Today reminded us why we love what we do. Our customers are at the heart of everything, and seeing so many familiar faces again made all the hard work worthwhile.

While the market has been closed, we’ve made the most of the time by giving our stall a thorough deep clean and a fresh new look with a full repaint. We still have a little more work to finish over the weekend, but we’ll be ready to welcome you back on Monday.

As always, we’ll be fully stocked with our usual fresh, high-quality fruit and vegetables, ready for you to enjoy.

🌟 WE’RE REOPENING ON MONDAY! 🌟

After what has felt like a very long few weeks, we are delighted to share the news we’ve all been waiting for – Moor Market will officially reopen on Monday morning!
Following continued monitoring and two consecutive days with no pest activity detected, the decision has now been made to reopen the market to customers.

Over the past few weeks, council teams, market management, specialist contractors and traders have all worked together to ensure the market is safe, clean and ready to welcome everyone back. A huge amount of work has taken place behind the scenes to reach this point, and we’re pleased those efforts have paid off.
Monday marks a fresh start for Moor Market. There will be media attending throughout the morning as part of the reopening, alongside the launch of a major promotional campaign to encourage shoppers back into the market over the coming weeks. It’s a fantastic opportunity to remind everyone what makes Moor Market such a special place to visit.
We’d love to see as many customers as possible returning to support all of the independent traders who have missed serving you. Every visit and every purchase will make a real difference as businesses begin to recover.

To all of our valued customers,

We know many of you are asking when we’ll be reopening, and we wish we had a definite answer. Unfortunately, the market remains closed while we await official approval from the council to reopen. We understand how frustrating this is for everyone, and please know that we’re just as eager to welcome you back as you are to return.

While we’ve been unable to trade, we’ve made the most of the time by giving our stall a complete refresh. We’ve repainted, reorganised, carried out extensive deep cleaning, and continue to maintain the highest standards every day. We have followed every instruction given to us and will continue to do so to ensure there are no delays from our side.

We’d also like to reassure our customers that we’re focused solely on the official guidance and facts. We kindly ask that you don’t be influenced by rumours or speculation, as our priority is working closely with the relevant authorities and being fully prepared for reopening as soon as permission is granted.

Like many other independent businesses within the market, we’ve lost valuable trading days through circumstances entirely beyond our control. All we want is the opportunity to get back to serving our loyal customers and doing what we love.

We cannot thank you enough for your continued patience, loyalty, and the many kind messages of support we’ve received throughout this difficult period. Your encouragement has meant the world to our team.

Good evening, everyone.

We would like to provide an update following today’s meeting with Moor Market management, pest control specialists, and the Environmental Health team.

Following their assessment, the decision has been made for Moor Market to remain closed until at least Monday 6th July. Before the market is permitted to reopen, a continuous 48-hour period with no signs of pest activity must be achieved.

We are pleased to share that the measures currently in place are proving effective, and the situation is progressing positively.

Our team continues to attend our stall each day, as advised by the Environmental Health team, and we are happy to confirm that our unit remains unaffected and completely pest free.

A further review meeting will take place on Friday afternoon, when we hope to receive confirmation of the market’s reopening plans. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

We understand this closure has been disappointing for both our customers and fellow traders, and we would like to thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and unwavering support. Your loyalty means a great deal to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as the market is able to reopen.
