One of our absolute all time favourites! The incredible Wortley Arms
A firm favourite of ours for the last few years, The Wortley Arms never disappoints us! The consistency of fabulous food on every visit truly sets this place apart from the rest... Its cosy warm setting makes you feel right at home the second you walk through the doors.
We feel it's one of the very best gastro pubs in the Sheffield area. It's a hidden gem and well worth adding to your "to try" list. 100
We were kindly invited down last week to check out their festive menus, we were spoilt for choice! In the end we opted for:
Starters:
- Cod cheek scampi, katsu curry sauce, pea & potato
- Beef ragu & mozzarella arancini, pesto dip, dried tomato salad
Mains:
- Slow braised beef shin, brown butter mash, stuffed cabbage, roast carrot
- Pan-fried seabass, crab choux fritters, marinated beetroot, spinach & pinenut dressing
Deserts:
- Dark chocolate orange Crème Brûlée with homemade hob nob biscuits
- Blackberry & orange parfait with liquorice mascarpone
In summary, The Wortley Arms is a fantastic venue, marvellous staff. Sublime food at very reasonable prices. Genuinely not a bad word to say! Go and cosy up next to the log fire and enjoy a fabulous evening...
