To the family of David Packer (Mel) I have just got your message, yes I would love to take it off your hands. Everyone employed at the brewery received one upon closure, a copy of the original that was housed in Phillip Williams office. I am sure I can find it a good home. Please phone again so I can arrange to pick it up.Steve

David Packers funeral service will be held at Hutcliffe Wood at 11.15 am on Friday the 26th,all are welcome. Anyone wishing to attend his wake afterwards please get in touch with me for details, the family require numbers to book the event.

Received some very sad news this afternoon, unfortunately we have lost a great man, colleague and personal friend in David Packer. He was a great help in our quest to get John Higgins off to America for his last holiday. He opened so many doors for me that only he and I knew about, he wasn't my gaffer he was a great friend. Commiserations to his son Tony and his wife and thanks to them for letting me know. He had reached the grand old age of eighty six and passed away following heart problems . What a leader, what a boss, what a man and what a friend. Till we meet again David.

My nan Jean Roberts and myself would like to invite anyone that would like to pay their respects for my grandad Bill Roberts who suddenly and sadly passed away in December.
We will be having a celebration of his life at the Coach & Horses, Chapeltown on Saturday 25th of April.
Anyone who knew my Grandad and would like to come is welcome to come from 1:30pm onwards.
