It was brilliant to join hundreds of people at Parkwood Springs Lantern Festival this evening. With a beautiful sunset as the backdrop, it was lovely to see so many people taking part in the lantern parade through the park.

Thank you to everyone from Friends of Parkwood Springs, Sheffield Council Parks team and all of the volunteers who made the event happen.

The stunning giant kestrel lantern was designed and created by Patrick Amber, Jo Veal and local residents who came together to create the lantern. It was one of many incredibly creative lanterns on display on a special evening that brought people together.
